Hey, some friends and me was testing some things with the Mana Shield if it makes a big difference having the Shield lvl 5 or 10 just to notice it doesnt work at all. The description of the spell says it blocks 30% dmg (maybe only magicial dmg) but it doesnt work for any of it, you get the same amount of dmg with and without shield.

Is the description wrong? Skill bugged? Maybe we was just blind or someone else made the same experience?

Edit: Tested it out with Nobility thanks, its working as intended

The Shield works. Maybe you and your friends don't have the same equipment conditions, like approximately the same DEF/MDEF.

Or are you testing in a weak environment like Lv.15 fields? That isn't a good way to experiment with it.

 

The 30% reduction should be notable, and is applied to every damage (Ph./Mg.).

 

I can't say anything about Lv.10.

I can confirm the shield working. I just asked a guild mate and it works without any problems. The last patch did not change anything regarding any skill except the passive summonor buff. It was working before the last maint and it still is working the same way now according to the information my guild mate just gave me.

We all got +20 equip and around 30k def and 28k mdef, tested it with Summoner (helix shot and rolling stone) and another Sorc with Blizzard and the Ball, i got the same amount of damage with and without my lvl 5 mana shield.

All others (Sorcs) in the Guild agree the mana shield might be buggy

mana shield doesnt ignore elemental dmg, u still need resist for it. That may be the issue, idk.

Same Tua Mello with shield 135 damage, without shield 195 damage.

I'm really not good with math so I have to rely on what my guildmate told me here. I was told that this is 30% damage reduction. So all should be fine.

 

Yes, we are currently doing the Arcadia questline in land of temptation XD.

Okay, the thread can be closed its not a bug we tested it out for like over 45 minutes now.
Thanks for all the replies and the Skill is working as intended, takes a lot of time to understand it
