Just wanted peoples thoughts on Mob Scarf on Genetic.

I have 120 str/dex and over 100 int. Tried the mob scarf/pollution sunglasses combo on a few bloody branches and was getting more damage with Tengu set. I'm going to try it out on a few more BB's tonight.

It's good if you need middle headgear slot.

My thoughts were inline with Ash. For cart cannon Tengu Set seems to win out, and if you Acid bomb it seems that Mob Scarf is the way to go. I was just wondering if people were seeing the same thing

120 str = 10% physical 10% range 

 

vs

 

120 str 1 luk = 6%

120 str 40 luk = 12%

120 str 120 luk = 18% (Maybe brewer?)

 

You can see that the attack itself loses to Tengu Mask. But then you're probably getting :
1. 240 m.attack/6% var cast time/ 20 healing from 120 dex and 100+ int

2. 5 crit and 10% crit dmg from 120 str (luk 1?)

3. Aspd 5%/ +2% demi human resist from 80-90 vit (agi 1?)

 

2 doesn't benefit us while 3 does something. But comparing on pure CC dmg, Tengu would win. Question is anyone tested the bomb dmg with lets say 6/12% attack and 120-240 attack to see if its on par, less or more than Tengu?

PS: Tengu gives a size modifier, different from atk modifier. And it does matter :v (atk%= boss%)

Since my warlock means more to me than my Geneticist, I sold her Tengu Mask and switched to Mob Scarf, and I have no idea when I'll be able to buy another Tengu Mask to make up for this loss. Should I reset my stats? I'm currently on something like:

Str 120 + ??

Agi 1 + ??

Vit 40 + ??

Int 105 + ??

Dex 90 + ??

Luk 1 +??

 

I'm thinking about swapping Str and Dex values, to switch from Temporal Str to Temporal Dex. Will my CC damage be higher if I did it?

Mob Scarf loses out to Tengu, but not by a lot. You're still good to use the mob scarf on your gene if you wanna stinge some zeny

what about 120 int 120 dex and probably around 100 str for mob scarf? Will the increase in acid bomb damage noticeable?

Of course, mob scarf will boost acid bomb a lot

I tested mon scarf with 120 dex and 120 int and around 100 str it does give more damage than tengu set with 120 str and 120 dex and around 100 int. 120 dex in both setup for temporal boots.

for 3 times the MATK Bonus, 2 times the ATK Bonus and one time the HP Bonus?

 

Question is, does only 60 vit work for solo MVPing and/or Bio5?

At 120 str tengu wins by a lot when it come to CC, but Mob scarf is better for bombs.

I'm now wondering in switching Tengu Set to Mob Scarf with the Bio5 hat... Would be worth switching 120STR/110INT to 100STR/120INT (and DEX 120) in order to get IC CC and mostly to increase CC damage by this increase in INT?

depends solely on the player's skill level . Some can make do with 1, some cant with 120.

Bring tons of vit boosting consumables, get free vit buffs like primo buffer stuff, bring lauda agnus ab slave, amistr bulwark from your amistr base homunculus, etc

I do lot of solo ET and I think 60vit in 175 gene is enuf but need more if you are low lvl. That’s for solo everything idk how much u need if u have a tanker maybe less than 60.

I got 70 vit and that is plenty.
