So i was observing the mage tree skill and i found out something a little bit odd.

Unlike the rest of the elementals trees (fire,wind,water) 3 of 5 of the skills in the sorcery tree arent sorcery type.

the two skills in offensive tab(Mana Bolt,Mana Spear) are indeed sorcery , while the three skills on mage tab (Elemental Bolt, Elemental Spike,Elemental Wave) are not sorcery type , this is kinda odd since all the rest of the trees are attached to one elemental.

This is intentional and was a request I made back in the skill update beta sessions.

 

The reason the Second tier 'Sorcery' tree doesn't have any Element assigned, is so that Mages can actually use the Elemental Enchantments on their Staffs.

 

Skills adopt the Element of Ammo and or Weapons. Since Mages don't use ammunition, the skills adopt the weapon element

I requested this due to how we were all aware that Holy was going to be the most powerful Element, but also because if this didn't happen, then the only way a Mage would be able to benefit from the Elemental update, would be by hitting things in Melee with their sticks, which is absurd... 

So no, it's not a bug or a mistake, it's 100% intentional.
