So made a comparison between this 2 spears.
Imperial spear it is still possible to get EA 11 or EA 12 with a really low chance.
Cannon spear to get EA 6 perfect enchant the chance is almost 0.01% like card drop but hey it's still possible.

Imperial spear at +14 will give you 41% VP damage assuming EA 11 22% range with 180 atk base and 70 from upgrade.

Cannon spear at +13 will give you 39% VP damage assuming you get perfect EA 6 12% ranger 180 atk base and 91 from upgrade.

All in all cannon spear is actually performs better in term of Damage however it's not achievable due to low chance getting perfect EA. Thus due to lack Perfect EA enchant is not posible Imperial spear come out as winner.
Not to mention when the imperial earring, ring, and ring of knight protection come up the imperial spear will be the true winner in term of damage without a doubt.

So for you all out there that want to upgrade cannon spear think twice before you do.

Cannon Spear didnt give VP damage , you sure?

i had a +12 with AS, my +6 random Imperial Spear with random card deal higher damage than it when using VP

 

Cannon Spear only buffs CS skill however its Overbrand damage is good, since lv 4 weapon

Maybe Handersen refers to the Cannon Spear EA enchant from biolabs that boosting VP damage instead of direct skill modifier boost like the one scripted in imperial spear

Based on Imperial Spear's description in game:

​At +14 you get:

​20% base VP increase

​3% per 2 Upgrade levels of Weapon = +14 / 2 = 7 * 3 = 21%

​EA 11 = 22%

​20% + 21% + 22% = 63% VP Increase

​The thing with % increase is that when your base damage is low,

​Imperial Spear & Crimson Lance does about the same damage, but when your damage increases a lot,

​Imperial Spear pulls ahead... by a lot!

RG has access to a lot of flat attack buffs and gears, so most of the time the Imperial wins


btw, multiply ranged and skill percentages, not sum up

The description's been off for Cannon Spear for a while.

 

If/when we get any of the imperial stuff, the imperial spear will win so hard that I think it's safer to just invest in it. Plus, you can +10 it more easily than cannon spear.
