I don't even bother with refiniment anymore. I wasted more than 200 HD elus to get a +9 equip to +6.

It is fair, its RNG and you can be on the either side of it. If it is unfair, it will be like certain chars/classes have higher chance to refine and other chars/classes have lower chance. However, its equal chance for everyone, you just may or may not have the luck.

Luck has nothing to do with refining equip/gear it is

a consistent process unlike doridori it is no chance +20?

I wasted none of HD brads, I prefer lowballing +15'ed weapon and did quite a lot of deal from desperate vendors

i made 100% profit by selling +9 rockridge gears (elemental robes, elemental origins, monokages, huumas, golden scarfs, golden suits). I started with 1.6b as capital to buy enriched oris, enriched elus and the gears and regular ori/elus. now already made 2.4b. oh, and it is excluding stuffs i use for myself, if i sell those also, perhaps i made 3.2b.

Well in a way it is kinda unfair, I spent 20 Safe to 10 Cert and didnt get my gear to +10. Then I bought two OCP III boxes from Fire Sale, and got a Cylinder Hairband on the second box. Guess this is to make up for my bad luck at refining.

Yeah, but at least thats a good way to make yourself feel better, I believe it is called 'law of averages'. I got it to +10 eventually with another 5 safe to 10 cert, so that makes a total of 25. It is equivalent to 2.5-3b zeny, I am kinda broke now. But at least I got a Cylinder and made it to +7 easily, so I can just pretend that I bought a Cylinder for 2.5-3b. Quite expensive, but its better than nothing.
