True, don't really know where any of our servers would get new players, we don't really have advertisement for the game, recruiting to a server basically means taking them from one of the other servers =\
 

 

It harder to pull people from classic to renewal. Most of them there are not a fan of renewal. Haven't succeed to pull 1 after inviting them. My friend had successfully done inviting the person who helped me in classic to play in renewal but he didn't continue. My guess is, he too don't like renewal that much.

Have you tried doing this with zero starting out zeny or gear? It's an mmo people play it to interact with others. You should really try making a char on renewal and just see how much more awesome the levelling experience is even solo, via the bounty board system. 

 

Personally on classic I just had out mercs + 5m zeny and say "this is how you do anubis". That's the easiest way to level with the cursed set anyway. Then leech them 89-99 in thors. Encourage people to make knight/LK to get ez income in luina, but those players are hidden and not helping in community building.

 

If classic was fine as it is this wouldn't even be a discussion.

 

When I tried the Re-enact the History event in Classic, even with 2m I gave up after lvling to 70+. After janeway stops, it was hard to get funds, to lvl and unless you were connected, no one would invite a knight to Ice Titan parties. 

 

No merc, zeny was from a lucky thara frog card drop, no gears except cursed set. I had a lvling partner that was a wiz but only she carried on. A newbie starting out in classic is hard.

 

A newbie on renewal? I get zeny from BBs, and I just need eden gears till I'm 3rd job.

People forget that Renewal was made for the betterment to new players.

Too bad when it came out, it made a lot of people quit. But i would suggest any new new player, like anyone who has never played RO, to start on Renewal. Leveling on Classic commits too much time and way too difficult if you're not familiar with a korean mmo.

I did the lvling race and stopped playing, Renewal was less than ideal when it first came out.

Yeah, it's sad, report some of the same people using the same cheats over like a year time period and nothing is done about it, some of them even taunt you about it because they know absolutely nothing is done for it.

 

Edit: Proposal- What if we were to get "Guild Instances" developed? Holding WoE castles could unlock a weekly or daily instance that guilds could complete together for some sorts of rewards. It would be a bit like Okolnir or something but have rewards for all participants instead of being a god item creation. I think it would promote both people to join guilds, as well as for guilds to join woe, and promoting party play all at the same time.

The GMs are unlikely gonna tackle anything big, groundbreaking and game saving. Sorry, although a 70-84 turn in besides the usual we have would be nice.

As for WoE; turn off WoE2. You don't have to make hay every time the sun shines. But since you did, there's a lot of hay.

No, you don't have loads of illegal client edits. That'd be more like someone who reported milky when he put an overlay of a +20 cotton shirt and knife...

I am way too lazy to read all of these words or even post anything too long here.

 

The GMs do not understand Classic, its mechanics or its appeal. They cannot effectively design, market or manage the Classic server. They take too long to make even small simple changes. When changes are made they are never polished to a point of usability. Any arguing past this point is a waste of time, the change to improve Classic needs to start there. Regardless of any other factors the game is going nowhere without appropriate support from the people who actually control it.

 

To put things into perspective for people, the only thing that has happened since Hazy Forest (which was never polished enough to be worth the time and has now been removed and replaced by ??????) was added a year ago is this current Headgear Cert/Box thing, which has been in development for TEN MONTHS and is not finished.

the staff wont do anything meaningful to improve the server & give vague answers to most questions the last staff member who had a backbone and not be a sheep was heim

the foundry & its archive are filled with decent ideas for the server but nothing got off the ground iro still makes a decent coin for gravity as most throw money at it like Hindi's toss flowers at cows so they have actually negotiating power but prefer to stay in mediocrity

I still support putting like those in Classic or something like an upgraded Janeway weapon and cursed set as you progress. Eden gears are really, really helpful for a new player to hunt higher tier gears.
