I saw a gx during woe, and he used "Shield Spell." What kind of gears or what cards allow the user to use the skill? Yes, I am sure it is a Gx not a Royal Guardian. HE used "Shield Spell" then EDP. Thank you

found it funny how its more beneficial for most physical classes than royal guards

RG can easily have the highest E.atk bonus by using shield spell 1 while wearing Rosa shield / Giant shield (130 defense converted to e. atk), unless the other class got the Royal Guard Shield refined beyond +10 that's entirely another story

Only the base def of the shield counts, so it will be 30 regardless of that shield refine.

White Gold Shield has 150 def btw

awww shoot, I thought the def bonus effect from royal guard shield refine will be counted as shield spell e. atk addition. I suppose I won't bother redeem it then for another 800 honor tokens

 

Damn, jRO things really outclassing most of in game gears right now. I saw in jRO page, the shield provides 140 def instead of 150.

 

well, I think I'll pass that extra 10 e.atk boost to save 75m zeny. The extended +15 refine event drained most of my zeny savings

Doubt this will increase its price by much: swap to a White Gold Shield mid cast for 150 Atk. In fact, I think it'll make the shield more common as people will actually want to spend their Honor Tokens on it.

Unfortunately no. Shield Spell lingers even if you take it off. Even if it is 30 ATK, it still becomes a swapped gear for any and everyone. Only detriment is the weight, which won't turn off iRO players.

Unequipping Shield may have a negative effect on the Shield Spell.

Reflect Damage for instance is affected by unequipped shield.

RG Shield =800 honor tokens.

Strong shield of RG if it exists cos it is very rare.

so is it possible to swap the Royal Guard Shield mid cast to a White Gold Shield and get 150 eAtk instead of the 30?

Possible if you swap fast enough before the cast time done and did get the attack boost effect, because getting attack boost is RNG

Meaning, pretty much a hassle unless this is an animeverse where you can do random stuffs without the villain minding your business.

The effect duration is pretty small though.Runs off pretty fast with just 30 DEF. But enough for a GX to do some madness
