a +8 Old Midas Whisper gives 60% dmg boost to cart cannon (which is on par with cylinder).

 

A +20 Old Midas Whisper will give 2.5x dmg boost to cart cannon when compared to cylinder (When considering just the cart cannon boost alone).

 

They do not refer to the same damage increase. Old Midas Whisper is total dmg increase at the end where else cylinder is skill damage increase  .

 

This was what cause iRO community to be confused at first cause we thought the 60% from cylinder meant the 60% similar to Old Midas whisper. And then found out it wasn't the case and they had to adjust it to 600% skills damage to get it relatively close to 60% dmg.

+7 Cylinder Increases the skill damage bonus of CC by 600%, which is not the same as 600% dmg increase. It's 60% increase avg in this case.

I'm not really into formulas, but I believe +20 Old Midas 150% dmg increase is far superior to 600% skill bonus (or 60% dmg increase) from cylinder.

 

Also not considering the other bonuses.

It's still mystery until Bio5 introduced to this server later on, btw did anyone here has compared it with similar Cart Cannon Boosting headgear like the recently fixed Harvester Hat and see how the damage boost behave by comparing these 2 similar items that we already had in this server?

 

Should be able to see clearly the difference between 15% damage boost with either 300% / 60% damage whatsoever cylinder hairband boost, btw I didn't own the harvester hat for the sake of comparison

 

a little more amusing fact :

Btw this is link for Bio5 headgears in jRO, including Old Midas Whisper which is totally different with Old Midas from kRO.

All can be equipped started at lvl 100, I prefer getting these instead of the kRO counterparts though

Anyway, GMs still dont give us any date, they just told us at end of year, this? or in 10 years?

Because Cylinder is a hype.. It sounds funny when people say Mob scarf is 2b. LOL and they sell cylinder at 3.5B? Like hello? Seriously? Mob scarf is far more usefull and can benefit and change on how you play every character...

Bio5 hat doesnt offers just CC damage, it can get up to int10 and a crap ton on ranged damage as well. It is in every aspect superior to Cylinder damage wise.

Also, does that mean it's alright to get low int (1-60) early on and focus on dex and str first? Would you run out of sp easily if you do?

We are all been getting jro gears ever since the OCP came in so if we'll be getting the bio5 hats, then it might be a jRO desc hat which is a meh but not too bad for mandra spamming.

Except you cant sell old midas whisper. Besides instacast CC means more DPS also.
