If I achieved 100+ cast reduction by only using items, does it meant I dont need to boost my dex stat?

Yes, but you would probably have terrible matk. theres also a fixed cast time to deal with which can be reduced, but i doubt there us aby way to reduce it to 100% and dex doesnt modufy this

Well it depends on whether the OP is warlock or sorcerer. For Sorcerer, most skills have little to no FCT, and its completely worth achieving instant casting at the cost of MATK by stacking VCT reduction gears. For Warlock, the FCT plays more significant role and it would not be recommended to sacrifice MATK for 100% VCT reduction, since you cant get instant casting anyway, even with Fenrir Card.

If warlock id focus on more matk.You can have instance cast anyway with reading spellbooks

In Sorc i've used 100% VCT cast reducts for a while and dmg isn't low at all, it was a 1 dex oriented build so temp dex weren't a thing for it but now with the mob scarf i was pushed to change from 1 dex to 120 dex so pretty much changed from VCT gears to raw dmg gears, the thing with 120 dex builds is that you can wear temp dex to make the cast decent while using other summons besides Ventus plus you have a more significant damage.

If you have mob scarf, dont going for dex is totally dumb because you will lose +200ish matk

Go for int/dex, is The best overall, also gives you more flexibility un terms of gear, on both wl and sorc i have 120 int/dex, also for pvm, The most stats you want on a caster are agi, vit, int, dex (dex for variable, fixed with temp dex and bonus for ítems like mob scarf)
