Ideas for the future, buffs, nerfs or anything in between? I think that the more the GM's have to work with in charting a road map, the better. Its not the same Ragnarok from before but what can Classic do to be the best Classic that it can be?

Then you guys from classic should stop complaining if there are no updates. You guys should realized that it's called classic for a reason. It will never get updated to get renewal content Or all those OP gears and cute costumes.

I'm honestly only on renewal because all my stuff is here, I personally much prefer the skill/stat formulas of pre-renewal and wouldn't mind living without 3rd classes (although I'll admit I've been having a blast on my ASS Chaser) or just say screw it and carry the pre-re mechanics onto a renewal server, insta-cast for everyone!

Quite the contrary, I think a strong case could be made for having Classic stick to a pretrans environment. To help differentiate it from the other servers. (there is a rather unpleasant trade off needed to go this route though)

4th classes on Renewal, maybe someday! (3rd class for Ninja pls)

Are you saying that by including my own idea, the thread was made too confusing? I never thought of it in that way but very well. Since I was already able to elaborate elsewhere then If it will help people brainstorm then I don't mind having my idea take a seat on the bench. I shall make some edits.

Thats true, Restart does seem to have a lot of potential but there are still things that Classic can do that Restart cannot. Wiping Classic after a vote is but one idea, there are plenty of other options that Classic could go with. Although I am also interested to watch how Restart makes progress.

Well the upcoming revo-classic is going to be the end of "classic" server.  But the way I see it, it's just a history repeating itself

Clssic is pretty stagnant now. They are opening a new server anyway lol

How are soul linkers in classic? I love playing this class. In fact my only character in chaos is SL. I only do woe te in chaos

Indeed that is where things get sticky. Not just for Ragnarok but MMO's in general, like a question of the value and lifetime of virtual goods and philosophy or something. Would it be fair if there was 100% compensation or would 0% compensation be a better measure of fairness?

Lets not go back too far since it used to be a subscription only game. I would support using community feedback to help decide what could go in the Kafra shop.

Lets not go back too far since it used to be a subscription only game. I would support using community feedback to help decide what could go in the Kafra shop. 

 

the fact that they can even make "restart" means they generate more than enough cash off boxes from chaos alone. kafra shop items is exactly what destroyed the first classic that they tried to bring back.. people got turned off by it because they felt deceived. they expected to have classic be like how classic actually was... where you have to invest time to play the hardcore way. i know like 20 people who were turned off by classic the moment they realized kafra items were in play.

I really really love the pre-renewal's mechanisms but the Jumping Janeway just kills it...

Never mind that. I believe the majority has been requesting Janeway for years.

Because I can also see some problems like, being a Priest has less chance to join a random party because I don't have Assumptio. With pre-renewal mechanisms, grinding just for the first 99 to become a trans. was insanely hard.

well, there was my sorta suggestion to replace the auras with 3rd job sprites... though, that probably wouldn't be out till after we get 3rd job Taekwons in renewal.
