Maybe, there's a possibility to reduce the cost of passives through the Item Mall?

As the games grown, more and more have been added, including the level 225 + 250 passives, and it's just gotten to be absurd imho

 

It costs 2900 IM Points for full passives for your class (Attack Power\Attack speed for weapon type)

It costs 10150 IM to fully passive a character through the General Item Mall passives

and if you want the weight passives that's an extra 750.

 

That totals 13800 IM for full passives, $138 to passive ONE character.

Trying to purchase this in game by purchasing passive books from players in game, given the market at the time would cost roughly around 400B Zulie

ALL passives are obtainable without IM points.

With exeption to the weight books

 

YUp there are many, but u dont have to spend a single IM point if u dont want to, ofcourse it will take a while to collect all those books but hey

I think the majority knows where I stand when it comes to passive's from either skillbooks or clans, these books are doing nothing more then make u farm>farm>farm or like u said, spend IM & creating the feeling of inbalance when looked at as a bigger picture.

Yeap, that's a lot of money to pay out for being lazy. 

 

Question is, how do you suppose to compensate that income after removing or discounting the prices on the books?

That's 140,000 valor points if you were to purchase passives in game through the valor shop. That's not including getting valor gear, or pvm skills.

I think if I was to calculate how many SC runs it'd take around 1,500 runs, granted you're not buying remnats and\or valor runes, or anything else valor related.

 

I actually could see them making money because people could actually go about gearing new characters easier. Not many players are buying IM Passives for their characters because the price is so high to begin with, that I know of atleast.

I have 3 scouts 2 mages 2 clerics 1 champ 1 raider 1 artisan 1 bourg on full passives >.<

 

regarding the discussion:

are IM passives a way of soaking money out of people? totally

were new passives neccessary? not really, just another money trap

is it impossible to farm the new passives? I farmed the first 5 critical protection passives on my scout in addition to the PvM Rune(s) I need within one week, so it is absolutly possible to get them through farming

overall I think we all agree, that the passives are just to soak money out of customers, but how come this comes up now and not 2009 when the first passives got included? or 2014 when they added more and more passives? Oh wait, it came up...just wonder by whom....

People complained about it in 2009 and 2014. It was just more tolerable when you only needed 3200 points (with a more generous conversion rate) than the 13800 it is now.

Yes you can farm them now and buy them in the valor shop but no one in their sane mind is going to realistically obtain 140,000 valor points in addition to however many honor points with ever so consistent pvp schedule for all passives.

Maybe the ROSE team can look at how many passives they have sold through IM through the Summer Sale and compare it to how much they're making from the passives while they're at normal prices..

 

I see the 50% off being an actual viable thing to keep it as, 60 some odd bones to fork over isn't as bad as a Benjamin and then some.

Take a Premium + Valor Passive skills and go to spam Dungeons.

I got 80% all my passive skills and my Jackal armor like that.
