Can this be a good card for my Dex4 Gun barrel? How does short range physical attack really work. ty for answering this noob question.. I just wanna make sure bec this item is too expensive.. I am a KB type Mado and i got 189 aspd.

As there is no Answer in the whole Forum about it and I crossed some similar questions I will answer it on a 2017 post.
The discription of the combo is wrong or it's a bug, to this moment the +5 aspd is activated using any physical damage in a 3% rate, auto atack or skill ranged attacks, and probably even using bows, I can't confirm the bows part because I have the set on an accesory that can't be equipped on Archer Jobs. But it works using KB as well Arm Cannon.
