Sort of confused - not sure if I should go natural crit or rely on equips?

 

Anyone have an idea whats best in this kind of server?  I don't know if well ever get a chick hat either.  Otherwise I'd go double attack katar.

 

Would a little bit of dex be ok on a natural crit sin?

youre going to need a bit of dex to help hit things in the beginning. otherwise you'll keep missing. I have around 30, which is enough, then again, i plan on going hybrid though

Well, it is hard to say, since the server is SO new. A Triple Crit Jur and two Clips of Counter, mixed with a bit of luck make dex pretty much useless. However, I dont think those are things most people will realistically have in the near future, so for now, some dex would be good.

Grimtooth focused should be pretty decent to lvl, just avoid demon/insect mobs, get enough dex/luk for hit rate, str and some agi and you are good.

As long as you get enough Hit rate and can kite them well there should be no problems. Unless their exp got gutted.

Can you expound on that a little? I'm curious as to what a build and items would look like. Also why crit dagger? Just because of the prospect of using a shield?

  my assasin at lvl 60 could mob pasanas , mermans , high orc with 35 dex . u need dex for grimtooth tho .

Renewal has gear that allows daggers to easily get 100% crit. This isnt true for classic, at least not as of yet. Way back, before things were changed around, crit assassin with a triple crit jur, or double crit boned were top dogs for leveling. SS cards were pretty expensive, and having 100% crit was the way to go. Things changed, though. I am not sure how viable a crit dagger setup would be with Re:start.

DD Crit is totally out of question for re:start, there are simply no gears to support this build effectively.

You don't put any points into double attack anyway. Jobchange at 42.

I think it can actually but very expensive and the crit damage will be quite low..
