Just ran across multiple large bot parties 2 maps west of Geffen, not to mention heaps of bots in TF and Byalan. People think the community keeps growing as the players logged in reaches 1200+, but its just the bots increasing because there is corrective action being taken. The "Official" Launch isn't until tomorrow and its already an issue, pretty sure the WP was just running out of money and needed a get rich quick scheme so they target the nostalgia of RO veterans. At least the the other official servers that are starting up in other countries are implementing some form bot detection/deterence. You would think after over decade of running this game they would figure out how to mitigate this or at least dedicate more staff for it. It's not a hard thing to do, pick any map and I'm sure you'll find some evidence. Hell, just look at the novice training grounds and most maps that don't have any aggro mobs. The bots are now turning into 2nd class characters and in full force.

I'm calm, just pointing out the obvious problem like Latsabb did. It's the "out of sight, out of mind" attitude that always brings ruin to the servers in iRO, so if more people make light of the situation maybe it'll get the right attention.

People's time is worth, imagine that you spend hours to get a card to sell it to 1m while a bot in a few days gets 4 and puts them at a lower price.

Well I admit that I am one of those who use xploit, per day I get about 25 gift box boxes, I do not deny it, but it is the bots that make the server bad. It seems really weird to me the fact that iRO does not have a shield for anything (bots, AHK, RCX,...).

It's just too easy here for botting...

Shields don't really work. If someone wants to bot or cheat, they are still able to easily do it. All it does is weed out the lazy or stupid botters.

kRO bots reduced because they require you to use social security number to get in. twRO has the same thing + NP Shield (Which caused more problem for the normal players than bots). If someone is gonna bot theres no way to stop them.

From the airstrike thread, they mostly have their attention at the Classic and Renewal servers but I expect them to start patrolling in Re:Start any day now... or any week now...
