I request for this quest to be re-implemented for a limited time again.

 

1. Talk to the Sunglasses Trader NPC in Alberta (88, 193)
2. She will ask for a 1carat Diamond, 50 Feathers, and 100,000 Zeny.
3. After delivering the items, she will tell you to go and see Maseph, "Somewhere east of Morroc"
4. Talk to Maseph NPC, 2 maps east of Morroc, on the tallest plateau (moc_fild09 209, 128)
5. Maseph will ask you for 1 pair of Sunglasses [0] and 400,000 Zeny and you will receive your Sunglasses [1].

 

 This quest ran on iRO from July 31 to August 8th, 2003.

 

So on behalf of the ragnarok players I ask for this quest to be re-implemented once more for a limited time. Thank You!

The introduction of Mob Scarf had surely driven the price of Slotted Sunglasses wild, even though unslotted Sunglasses work fine with Mob Scarf already. Glad I got a pair of Sunglasses with Lichtern Red card already before OCP7 came to town, or I'd have to put up with the 700M-1b price right now.

The introduction of Mob Scarf had surely driven the price of Slotted Sunglasses wild, even though unslotted Sunglasses work fine with Mob Scarf already. Glad I got a pair of Sunglasses with Lichtern Red card already before OCP7 came to town, or I'd have to put up with the 700M-1b price right now.

Which would be perfect to bring this quest in to hel p the people who cant afford such prices. Plus it would give people something to do.

It prob did drop from kafra boxes a couple of times after the quest was turned off. Dont know why they would do it since you can just flip the quest on and off like a switch when ever you want on their end.

 

Still think its worth a shot to implement this quest for a week or two for the summer

I litterly tap out after 2 pairs of quests.  Beebee was hard to find way back

 

this is why old players tend to hoard all kind of monster drops in case old quests come back

   cake, candy feather, log, etc

When I did it, it was 50 not 500. Seems you were just unlucky

this quest would kill all other mids and its market

 

at least increase the item requirements or make the zeny reflect the market

 

iirc the cheapest mids hovered around 15m while the more expensive ones went up to 100m each when they were available in the cash shops

Like how the faw killed a other garment gears or hbp? Or how mob scarf killed all other lower gears. Yet what I'm asking g is an in game I event for a week or two at most. Not like kafra shop items that stay for 5 weeks at a time.

Either way if there is going to be a change then I'll let the gm do the change. I honestly beleive no one here can make a change suggestion that everyone will aggree with.

So on this matter I just want the event implemented. Once that is confirmed then we can talk about changes. One bridge at a time folks

FAW is good for all classes

hbp and other garments are still useful and still have value

 

mob scarf is only best in slot for particular builds of particular classes and has requirements, so essentially its a low+mid headgear

 

dont get me wrong if this quest gets implemented at its current state hell yeah ill be stoked but looking at its future implications... one can farm 100 or more slotted sunnies under a week at less than 1m investment each, probably 1000 a day for the veterans with feather stockpiled

 

after all, prevention is better than cure as they say

 

but if i were WP, id release it on the cash shop like duh

They should put this quest, indeed. But I also agree that they should increase the hurdle to make it harder to make. They could put Glasses[1] and Sunglasses[1] back as an extra-rare item on OPB drop table, revigorating the OPB market which is nearly dead. I wouldn't mind, also, if they put Sunglasses[1] on OCP 8, preferably not as an A or S class item. As long as they do SOMETHING about current supply, the whole community will certainly be thankful.

The mob scarf is semi ok for critical dd gx -.- I would hardly call it worth while.

How about put aside the community headgear quest and put this slotted headgear quest as suggested?

I can agree to that but first thing first let's try to have the gm agree to even consider putting this quest in first.

500k used to be a lot back then, this is how I got my own slotted sunnies but I could only afford 1 at the time. Now I sound like one of those elderly people who rant about how sweets used to cost a half penny. But agree with others about how it would have to change for the current economy.
