Looking to fool around with a Shield RG spec but not finding much info.  I know that they arent common at all so its expected.

Looking for info on what shields to invest in and maybe some other gears too that might help with Shield skill damage.

-Imperial Guard for the Shield Press bonus or would other new shields work better

-Is Sacred Mission still the only shield that has innate 'Indestructible' bonus or does other shields have them too but not listed in their description

-----There was a card before that can make a shield Indestructible right or was it removed

You can customize your character with gears and status that amplifying your shield damaging skills like Shield Boomerang, Rapid Smithing, Shield Charge, Reflect Shield, Shield Spell, Earth Drive, Shield Press, Shield Spell and Reflect Damage.

 

For example you'll want shield that's quite heavy and one that provide specific skill modifier boost like Cross shield for cheap Rapid smithing and Shield Boomerang boost.

Gearing yourself with tons of autocast gears both physical & magic for Reflect focused shield build through shield reflect/reflect damage skills

 

or

 

Default Heavy category shields like Imperial guard (slotted & 250 Weight) /Giant Shield (slotted & 280 Weight) /Royal Guard Shield (slotted & 300 Weight) /Bunker Shield (not slotted but 350 Weight) for Every shield skills usage that rely on Shield Weight as its main damaging formula.

 

You can use above heavy category shields under constantly synthesized shield / FCP effects with Alchemist/Biochemist/Genetic Slave for unbreakable properties or default slotted sacred mission for innate unbreakable properties with less damaging potential.

AFAIK we don't have card that give shields unbreakable properties yet, CMIIW though if anyone here might knows

1.) High DEF Shield for Shield Spell 1 ATK Bonus (Rosa Shield, Sacred Mission)
2.) Switch to > High Weight Shield for Shield Damaging Skills. Giant Shield can cover 1.) & 2.) + is enchantable(quite risky though)
3.) Alt- Maestro/Wanderer for Gloomy Shyness. (Doesn't Boost Earth Drive sadly  )

Just looked at it.
Didnt know there is such a Shield.

For Shield Spell 1, yes pretty much the best Shield + the Magic Mirror cast looks awesome!

For damaging skills or for an Overall shield (SS1 + Skills relying on the weight) i would go with the Giant Shield.
Even if the 16.1 Royal Guard Shield do have 20 more weight, he would not need to switch then.

 

If he do not care, then I would also go for the White Gold Shield + Royal Guard Shield.
