If this is a bug, just submit a support ticket to them, you may be on your own if it is a mistake though. It also depends on whether you have screenshot taken when you lost Mob Scarf, their support staff will need to confirm that you actually were in possession of a mob scarf. Incase you dont have screenshot, you may want to go to ROPD and search your character. ROPD scans characters every now and then, it could show how your character looked a few hours ago. If you were wearing mob scarf before, there is a good chance you can find evidence of possession from ROPD.

check your fav tab if you're switching through clicking, you might have dragged it there.

It's ridiculous that Favorite tab hides the item from other tabs.
BTW, to avoid this kind of happening, you either mark the "block item drop" (or whatever it's called) in you Alt+E window, or never manipulate your item window without your Alt+Q open.

Now that I think about it, the ability to drop items on the ground isnt a good idea at all. There should only be trading and selling to NPCs. Drop trading is just asking for trouble anyway.

Well the ability to drop items on the ground isnt really for trading mostly, its to just toss unneeded items. While fighting Big Bells, I may end up picking up items such as needle of alarm and skull, which are of little value to me. They do however, add to my weight and push me closer to the limit. When this happens, I just throw away those items by dropping them on the ground.

If there was no weight limit and the number of item slots were something like... 1K+ items, I'd agree with you.

My Endless Tower runs would be a nightmare without the ability to drop useless things.
