With snake hat for double attack, would a str katar build be good pvm wise?

Can sonic blow easily kill wizards, hunters, and other frail classes in woe?

The playstyle im going for is sneak attack sonic blow on strong but frail classes.

sonic blow is pretty weak, 2~3 autoattacks do just as much, if not more damage.

I was hoping to avoid potion spamming by opponent and stun chance against low vit players. But really sb cant take down even a wizard?

I never played classic woe so im not sure what to expect

assassins damage isnt too high on renewal until they reach SinX (trans) and get EDP, even then SB isnt their best skill.

It's very unlikely you'll get good damage on it, you may kill ppl that are very undergeared, but other than that not really much else to do.

Shouldve just bought a second damascus and went full mastery

I guess all i can do now is increase luk

katars are still pretty good, and atm on par/stronger than dual wielding, due to lack of gear options

As said sonic blow is not very strong.

If you have fast aspd you're essentially using sonic blow all the time, just without the stun.

Except with the cast delay of the skill and snake head giving double attack to katars normal attacks actually become far better than SB spam damage wise.

So you pretty much only use it when you want to stun something, or have a priest with you using lex aeterna to one shot stuff with SB.

If i go agi str with katar + snake hat. Will that outdamage constant crits, assuming you have enough dex to hit 100%

you can use both. use snake hat and get some crit rate as well.

unless you manage to get crit dmg% gears it wont be too strong at this point in the game.
but using snake hat you have 50% chance to deal 200% dmg, and any hit that is not a DA proc can still proc a crit and deal 140% dmg. Katars double your crit rate, you can get some cheap crit from few points in luk (wich also gives atk/hit/flee) and few crit chance gears like kobols cards, etc.

When linkers get added, you can 1 shot goats/anolians with SB, which is decent xp.

Yeah katars are solid PvM.  Currently with the super dumb snake hat they are better than daggers until you have access to an ice pick.  You won't be killing anybody tho as a katar sin in WoE though unless they're afk or so under-geared they don't matter anyways.
