I don't understand why people have such a problem with this post............
I mean I remember when the two were separate as well, and I agree with OP, it's easier to not feel like you're missing out when there is only one at a time to focus on. But in the end, it's all just opinion.....Why do people feel the need to get all defensive over a simple suggestion? lol

We don't take too kindly to suggestions around here

You can trigger your own EXP event by finishing the Temple of the Demon God for about 10%.

There were also drops only and exp only events for the year. Check out the not so recently concluded Banquet Event and Memorial Day(?).

 

If I may express my opinion, the hidden meaning why both EXP and Drops are activated at the same time is to boost player activity for the server. Greater player activity is always beneficial for the server.

 

For example:

During upgrading events, most shops and players were selling items/materials related to the event (Ores and Over-upgraded items.) and you can expect the same with exp and drop events.

 

In the end, it boils down to a matter of choice. You can always go VIP or pop a manual with whatever you would want to pursue.

 

Also, We are free to express our opinions the same way that you are free to suggest. (Though some may be a bit ...... yeah)

 

I know that you may not want to choose one but we always do.

This is how I would separate the two events If it was my choice.

 

First, I would announce what event it will be. It would either be exp and drop event or just exp event or just drop event.

 

If it was exp and drop event for one week.

 

The first week would be exp and the second week would be drops.

 

I am going to use what you said. "At the same time is to boost player activity for the server" but for 2x the amount of time.

 

Either way, you know what I want to happen.

I never said other people shouldn't have different opinions.... just... SOME of those posts were quite unnecessary. It wasn't even like they disagreed or had a reason for it, it was more like they came on here just wanting to bash someone but then again...it's the Internet. So I'm not surprised.

It seems like experience and drops events often are in together. Can we start separating them? I mean it would be nice to not have to choose between the two options.

 

I totally agree with you. I have chars to max out, and want to farm as well, but as I don't have many hours/day, I have to chose between them.

 

What's wrong with drops only events, as there are many exp only?

I think it would apply more so when they are combined together. We still want to get both of them and each with the full event time frame.

If the idea here is to divide the total amount of time we have for both events, then no. e.g: 10 days of exp&drop is the same or even worse than 5 days drop followed by 5 days of exp or vice-versa. People always have different priorities here. Maybe you want to level for this entire time. Someone else wants to use this same time hunting MvPs with their friends. It's good when you have choices, and you're basically trying to remove that option.
But if we extend the current event period, by 10 days in this case, then maybe.

The idea is, instead of 10 days of parallel exp/drops events, we could have 10 days of exp event followed by 10 days of drops events.

I personally don't mind either way. But I'm assuming those who are suggesting we separate the events don't care about higher chances of looting while leveling. Also, you know that lvl 160 geneticist hoarding 3k bb's hoping he can speed level and get a card. Well, RIP

And the majority of people who want to farm aren't just hoarding bb's, lol. there are actually *places for farming* and *places for leveling..* Shocking right?

I haven't been able to enjoy an exp event for a long time since I rather farm cards on the rare occasion we get increased rates, but that doesn't mean I wouldn't like to go leveling, it's just inconveniently forcing me to choose one or the other, when they could be different weeks!
