I was thinking an upgraded double bloody boned jur would be the best katar at this point but then i saw someone looking for an infiltrator[1] and buying it for 3m.

I was wondering what katars are currently available right now and whats more worth it zenny wise and damage wise.

Infiltrator is currently the best for pvp damage that I could calculate.

 

Obviously a slotted one would be even better. Skel Worker ekes out a couple more points of damage than Hydra.

 

Below that, next best is a Double Bloody Katar. A triple carded Jur will come close, but in the end it loses by 6 or 7 points.

I didn't take upgrade bonuses into account, but we can look at that too.

+9 Double Bloody Boned Jur: 244.72 ~ 268.87 (again, there's a +5 in here I don't know what to do with)

+8 Double Bloody Katar: 263.2 ~ 296.8

 

And for fun

 

+7 Infiltrator: 283.5 ~ 346.5

+7 Bloody Infiltrator: 319.6 ~ 392.7

+7 Boned Infiltrator: 326.0 ~ 398.5 (once again, a +5 in here somewhere)

Thanks for the info. Already have 2 hydra cards and was planning to buy a couple of jurs for upgrading. Slotted infiltrators are found from treasire chests iirc, do you think a regular one would be decent while theres no woe yet?

A regular infiltrator is still better than any carded katar at the moment.

 

You can always try and slot the infiltrator yourself if you want to throw away a hundred million zeny or so lol.

Is the economy seriously that bad already? Hydra cards arent even sold at 1m yet.

Its not an issue of economy, its an issue of abysmal success chances for slotting lol

For the most part in renewal if you really want to use a weapon with card slots an andre or a zipper bear is going to give you much better damage than +% cards, which are mostly really bad.  As a general rule you should just stay away from low level weapons with high card slots though.

About best katar, I dont play thief tree and it's been a while since I last logged in iRO at all. However, just want you to know that any class is possible to play in 2-1/2 PvP if you know what you are doing. It comes down to your skills (or cheats if you're a scrub lmfao). Yeah, Sin is underrated at the moment because everyone is more focused at Knights but if we play wisely, we can pick up casters and hunters one by one by using Venom Splasher then Sonic Blow, which is instant kill then disappear.. So much fun..
