So after putting my merchant only to vend stuff since i started on this server, i gave it a shot and made her a gene. Pardon me if this is an already cleared topic cause i'm really new to the creator scene.

 

From what i learned from this thread: https://forums.warpp...-default-armor/ (worried too if it's already considered a necro if i reply) elemental tights would be a great armor for genes. But trying out the damage, it doesn't matter that much. Is it a broken item, or there's a set regarding this? Mine is +7 and planning to upgrade it to +9

turns out EDA is better for general purposes otherwise you'll be using elemental armor (fire,water etc)

It starts increasing the ranged damage bonus at +8, before it's pretty much useless. It's a bit outdated, but serves as a good cheap armor for genes. Nowadays the best armor is a Flattery Robe with double Dex Runes, preferably Dex 3 runes, and +13 refine.

 

Evil Dragon Armor is also good, but for sustain, not damage. Also needs to be upgraded over +7.

I see. So that means i should start investing to EDA since 16.1 enchanted robes will be too heavy on my budget. Started playing iRO last december as an AB so not much wiggle room yet.

 

Edit: BTW i thought Ele tights are supposed to be giving 2% long-ranged damage boost at +0? Forgot to include it on my post.

It does, but the aditional damage comes at +8 and +9 (+2% and +3% for a total of +7%).

you can start doing banquet quest even if you're at lvl 100 although it might take some to reach the flattery required tokens.

+7% ranged sounds very nice to me to pass it up. I might dab into it too some time. Got some +7 EDAs waiting for hammer event now

Well I do have a ranger farming tokens. Got like ~400 now, but yeah, TBH just one char to farm for the robe is kinda slow. Just need patience, i guess
