I'm having the same issue on my laptop. Using a wireless mouse, but even the trackpad buttons dont work. I've played with setup.exe, ran everything as admin, deleted that file mentioned earlier and still nothing.

Hello my friends, I am here to report that my friend finally got the problem solved. Thanks to davidleme, he had to remove the G buster too and after that, he can play again. What's weird is that I have the same program and up until now, I haven't encounter any problem at all. It's a pain in the neck to remove as I skim through some tutorials, and I think I might have to do the same in the near future.

All of you that are from brasil, if you have an online banking software installed its messing with your game. Delete that and use it on a smart phone

That solved my problem, thank you!
Uninstalled Warsaw.

I experience this constantly where it seems I can't click things or move at times.

Alt+Tab'ing to a different window a few times usually frees up the mouse not sure why.

Tried everything here as well, deleting dinput.dll, alt+tab, windows+tab, reinstalled, changed all game settings :( I'm not from Brazil so I don't have the software.

Can't even login to the game because I can't even click "agree"

Pretty much what is stated above: tried opening the program in full screen and unchecking mouse exclusive, tried fiddling with game settings, uninstalling/reinstalling, using the laptop mouse versus a usb mouse, deleting dinput.dll. From the USA, tried looking up those programs "G Buster" and "Warsaw" but my laptop doesn't have them. Sorta a bump to the thread but I just want to be able to play. Thanks in advance for your time!

Cannot click anything, yet the actual RO program itself works, mouse movement, and keyboard works. If I alt+tab (or shift+tab on steam) I can click once and then I can't click anymore. I alt+tabbed about thirty times to get through character creation screen and first few steps of the first area but.... I do not want to play the game like that. :\.

Edit: Also how did you find out the banking program was causing the error? Is there a way to recreate that process for my own pc to determine if any other program is influencing the game?

I have this issue here, but i just have to change screens and the mouse start to work again, but its pretty bad because I need to change screens every time I change maps. And sometimes when i change maps i have something killing me and cant do anything.

I have the Razer Synapse and G-Buster, dont know if its related.

Mooglite, have you gone through all of the applications installed on your system?

I have, but since I don't really know what I'm looking for, it's difficult to determine if any of the programs on my system is affecting it negatively. I did slowly comb through all my programs but nothing really stands out. I would like to believe that I have "good" programs, ranging from other games, to school related software, Microsoft programs, etc, but I don't think it'll be reasonable to slowly delete every program one by one to see what is affecting it... (but it could be worth it... I really want to play :sob: , hence asking if I could recreate the process of pinpointing a program). No banking software either.

Thank you for replying! I appreciate the time you are taking to help users and the forums.

Might be a longshot.. but Try running 2 clients.

Locate the actual EXE on your computer and run it twice.

once the windows are up ALT+TAB between the 2 client windows.. that does it for me sometimes..

its strange.. alt+tab'ing between the client and a generic window or browser doesn't always do it but between 2 clients it almost always works for me.

I also run the game in comparability Vista (the 3rd one)  mode not sure if that affects it..

Thanks for the suggestion Helios! I tried this, but it doesn't seem to work either.  :p_cry:

I have tried with Mooglite number of suggestions without avail.

Perhaps we could data mining a bit.

Those with persistent mouse issues please answer the following:

  • Your operating system model:
  • Your graphic card model:
  • Your DirectX version (look up how to use DxDiag in google):
  • Device type (Laptop/PC?):
  • Type of mouse used (Wifi/USB?):
  • Do you use more than one monitor on the device? (If the answer is yes please state how many)
  • Are you using a specific gaming mouse application (Yes/No?):
  • Do you play RO windowed or fullscreen?
  • Are you using Steam or Regular game client?

Extra suggestion:

Make sure your OS, drivers, graphic drivers and DirectX are all up to date.

Might as well start the datamine!

  • Your operating system model: Windows 10 Pro
  • Your graphic card model: Intel ® HD Graphics 4000
  • Your DirectX version (look up how to use DxDiag in google): DirectX 12
  • Device type (Laptop/PC?): Laptop
  • Type of mouse used (Wifi/USB?): USB
  • Do you use more than one monitor on the device? (If the answer is yes please state how many): No
  • Are you using a specific gaming mouse application (Yes/No?): No
  • Do you play RO windowed or fullscreen? Tried both, prefer windowed.
  • Are you using Steam or Regular game client? Tried both.

Just bumping the topic, still having the same problem as well. :(

  • Your operating system model: Windows 10 Home 64-bit
  • Your graphic card model: Intel® HD Graphics 520
  • Your DirectX version (look up how to use DxDiag in google): DirectX 12
  • Device type (Laptop/PC?): Laptop
  • Type of mouse used (Wifi/USB?): USB, Trackpad as well
  • Do you use more than one monitor on the device? (If the answer is yes please state how many) No
  • Are you using a specific gaming mouse application (Yes/No?): No
  • Do you play RO windowed or fullscreen? Tried both
  • Are you using Steam or Regular game client? Tried both

Hoping for a solution soon! Was looking forward to playing on my laptop :(

Edit:

New Suggestions:
Please go with the following if you are comfortable with the technical details:

  • Mooglite and 4478130519110750077, I'd assume your laptops come with a dedicated graphic card (AMD, NVIDIA, etc), if so try to force the laptop to use the dedicated card instead of the onboard Intel HD.
The following guide applies to Lenovo brand but I think it should be the same for others.
    https://support.leno...utions/ht078706

  • Another thing, make sure your GPU drivers are up to date, get official updates from the laptop manufacturer's website.
Avoid using applications that auto download drivers for you, most of the time they are not safe.

  • Reinstall your mouse and touchpad drivers from Device Manager > Mice and other pointing devices. (You can go with Uninstall > Reboot device to automatically reinstall)

Try this out, may help, may not, either way it's more a temporary work around than a solution.

Set game to window mode, once you launch it if/when the mouse gets locked out, click the desktop then back inside the game window.

This might help for now, at least give some of you the ability to play. Idk why it happens, but it seem that sometimes the mouse sticks to the desktop even though the pointer is on the game screen.
