As Idun said in last patch notes as an answer to the lack of activity in the patches, I make a post to voice out my mind about possible updates.

I understand that all of the changes made-- from balance changes to drop rate buffs, seed acquisition rate changes, Kafra Surgeon, fusion changes, card refinement updates... and so on-- aren't going to please everyone, and that we have a lot more work to do. Please feel free to get involved, join the VCR program or submit bugs and feedback through the forum so that you can be a part of the process! We have a huge list of things that we would like to do for the game, and your feedback helps us align our goals with yours. Throwing shade at the patch notes is slightly less productive!  :heh:

So, without further ado...

1. Update Dapara.

Spoiler

[EDIT july 31st]
Now the npc's sets price is affordable, and Dapara became good with farmers, as now you can get skills and vips at rank D (the only two items that changed prices at Dapara), if you (player) make a lot of effort. It's really a good thing, but still the price for menace and joser sets at dapara are way too high. I wouldn't call this suggestion finished, but it really was a good change, and it not beign finished is probably just my point of view.

2. Remove (or lower) the max level on death penalty.
Spoiler

[EDIT October 14th]
This is fixed already, right now you lose 3400 mp at ml40 on death.

3. Add search features
This is a big point, but it's easy to understand, so I'll shorten this up. For example, you sometimes don't find a mail in your mailbox. You should have a way to search by sender, title or content. This same thing should apply on the storage, auctioned items, and the bag so you can search for items by description, kind of item, rarity, name...
Also, pets, by name, level or kind of pet, like healing pet, special pet...
There's the auction house too, you should add rarity options, price limits... to the search bar.

4. Shared storage
RO2 has a lot of references to a "Shared Storage" in the account, but after a year, it still is not a real thing. You should add something in the lines of this, even if the size of the shared storage is the same always.
Yes, some people say to use "guild storage"; but guilds aren't meant to be a storage for their owners, and they aren't easy to level enough to unlock the storage.

5. Sorting pets
Don't misunderstand with the search features idea, as the search one meant typing what you wanted to look for.
You currently can sort by name, rarity and level.
What if I opened 20 stacks of different DNA fragments? How would I could I find the DNA I used to use the binding proteins on them?
So here's the idea, sorting by ammount of unused DNA, exp percentages and kind of pets.

6. Patch notes format
I've been reading patch notes for some time already... and after you read them you only get: "We did nothing". I know that's not true, but that's the feeling I get, a great example is last patch notes, the one that came before this post, (as one will come one or two hours laters to this), I mean the one July 12, 2017's one.
Active players will likely feel that you tested stuff you didn't apply, but new players, and some born to level up players won't, so less secretism, and tell a bit of your tests.

There should be a few different sections, and one index that shortens what will the players actually see, for example:

Index
 Changes Ingame
 Changes In event status
 Upcoming event
 Fixed bugs

Ingame changes
  - Added quests
  - Exp rate 200%
  - HHB drops!

Events
 - Christmas event is over
 - Share event will begin!

Upcoming events
-A new event will be starting soon!

Kafra Shop

Tests
- Tested fall damage on izlude hill!

Site changes

Bug Fixes
 - Golden thiefbug and the rest of story quests do no longer one hit kill you!

[EDIT November 7th]
It's even worse if you skip writing the patch notes.
 [EDIT November 9th]
Thanks for detailing a bit of the patch notes.

7. Pay attentions to events.
Back in Saint Valentine's event, you forgot the testing values for chocolate drops on.
Hide and seek prizes often take longer than one week to be sent...
Ingame prize sending tool got stuck a while ago during events, so share event prizes back then weren't sent on time...
These problems lead players to think that game administration is not interested in the game itself, and many even think they abandoned it, so players tend to not care about events, to not check for any kind of communication (forum, facebook, twitter...), and even to leave the game.

8. Rebalance.
Rebalance does not stand for "nerf", but for "adjusting". The game on ML has a jump in difficulty, and it increases per rank. That makes sense, but that's one thing, and another thing is to have a fully runed osiris set on a ML 22 wizard with a +20 weapon, and this character being unable to solo a single minor in DWL. I get it's meant to make sure its more and more likely you'll party up for leveling, but if you're rendered completely useless against individual monsters on your level (and often below your level) not counting bosses, people loses faith in the game, The last "rebalance" meant only "nerf" this class who was unable to solo, along thief and ranger. Thief also lost the use of Dark Illusion, as it was meant to be the only 100% crit thief skill.

[EDIT October 14th]
Fun fact: After the wizard in this example reached ml25, that wizard soloed Tomb of Osiris, after that, that wizard tried a minor and still unable. Currently, on ML33, this wizard is still unable to, but I saw a ML1 crecentia soloing a bunch of them when I told him the case.
[EDIT November 7th]
I checked a couple of days ago. It seems like my ML5 BM can solo at DWU, whereas my ML 40 characters, have serious problems with skull mages themselves.
In case of the top three loved clases, they do need to be nerfed, but as for the rest of clases they heavily need to be buffed.

9. Rename. (Maybe I should call this point "Fix texts")
Play the game, without any commands, from lvl 1 to ml 40, don't take any shortcuts like getting pleveled/boosted or extra boosts. New quests don't have this problem, but many old quests have a lot of issues, like talking about NPCs who end up having another name. A good example are Maple Forest's quests, where Kubellin (If I wrote it right), takes a few seconds to appear for the first time and you try to go where the map leads you, the second spot you find them, making the first de-spawn.
Also, skills are not well translated after 4 years. Some skills name fire flower, and fire starter as if they were two different skills. Some have absurd stats, like Falcon Assault, ranger earns 0 M.Atk per int point, Deadly Blow is suspiciously weak for the actual effect, and you still get the "X2 damage" on hide and cammouflage buffs description.

10. Explain stuff
People doesn't like pop ups, also, on quests 30~50 you get some runehole punchers and runes you will not ever use, because dungeon equipment and Guaranyang's equipment don't have slots. You get the feeling of "I'm meant to do something with this", but you won't have any ideas, and you may only toss them or store them and lose about 15 slots in your inventory. Instead of only this, add some quest of "insert a rune into a slot", instead having some npc telling you with a thousand words.
This very same thing should be done with runes, with hones and so on, it's a more practical way of teaching.
You did this to teach about Loki/Leprechaun Pieces after ML cap rebalances.

11. Resize Interface (Earlier, "Resize Bag")
No, I don't mean anything about changing the bag slots, but about making the slots smallers in your screen. Once you start setting Super large bags or Ultra Super Large bags, you end up covering your whole screen.
If you don't play with a over 24'' screen, you won't be able to play the "looter" role (and other roles derivates to this, like "farmer" role), since your inventory will get eventually full, and in case of HHBs, you can't stop to toss all the unnecesary items. In case of a party, the party won't wait for you, or the monsters the party takes won't. And you won't know about this until you already spent your phantom stones or a lot of zeny to get UltraSuper Large Bags, which you might need to end up tossing, because you can't see where your party is going to, or where are the monsters.

[EDIT October 14th]
Renamed from "Resize Bag" to a more accurate name.
I thought that the bag example would be the best, but let's have you making a experiment... Set the game on the minimal resolution, then open Auction House.
You'll get something like...

Spoiler

You can't even see the scroll bar with such a huge screen for AH. That same things happens if you have an average resolution, and 2 or more large bags, as in my poor BM's case...
Spoiler

That's why I need to keep smaller bags to be able to farm+toss stuff, and I'm not the only one.

12. Add features
One of the most reviving things a game tends to do, is to add features. I'd love to have a personal (per account or per character), house that doesn't expire, even if it's smaller than guild house or anything. From before ML existed, people already asked about some marriage and divorce system... And so on.
I know it's kind of hard to make a new model for new costumes, but they are also new features that may help people to keep interested.
[EDIT November 14th]

Please add a feature to see last login of players in guild, so we can know if guild members are active or not[...], thx.

13. Forum ID
Don't you think its a bit too much unsafe to use your WarpPortal ID as a nickname for the forum?
It would be good if we could just change it from time to time, so some people can have a name other than a bunch of numbers.

14. Professions
After Master Level was added, professions became a secondary subject, and now the only two professions people actually uses are blacksmith and artisan, because they are the only ones able to mine in dayr desert for pillarnium, and some alchemist service for purple potions, which by the stats you need to play with as of now, are too little effective.
In case of prime dayr potions, it's often not worthy to get the V version, as the I version heals you more.

In case of alchemist, I'd first fix the heal values of potions, but in all classes, I'd add new recpies. They shouldn't give much more experience than the old ones, but they should have an interesting change in stats. Both Alchemist and Chef are meant to help by creating buff items, and so they should still do. You could use the unnused materials, as some pillanium/pillarnium/pilanium/pilarnium (depends on where you read it) items, and for example, increase 100 str for 30 min. This could revive these professions. There should be some exclusive items for these other two classes to make up with mining.

15. Not so much extra exp rate
Yeah, it should probably be better if ML exp rates were better but... Extra exp rate makes people skip levels, and they end up at lvl 40 on Izlude/Izrud/Izllude Hill, having learned pretty much nothing in the game. While it's good for leveling, it's not if you are new and you want to learn. Also, when Exp rate is changed, it's changed in packs of 100%, this is the biggest issue, as not only newbies don't learn to play, but everyone gets far too over used to high exp rates, like 1200% base exp rate, and the scrolls you can use after that, in other words, people becomes dependant on high exp rates, so they can't keep playing at all without it anymore. That's why I suggest that when exp rates change it should go 120%->150%->200%... or so, instead 300%->500%->600%, like some share events have.

16. Goddess Affiliation & Union Alliance
After ML requeriments rebalance, you also added the goddess affiliation, to make easier understand and earning applied-elements, but the main issue is the same as in union system: lack of quests. Some people say that you can only get tokens on rank D, I don't know if that's true, I know that late rank C onwards can't get tokens for Sol/Nott.
Union have 4 quests, all related to before Morroc zones. You could add a couple of quests there to try to revive Union.

17. Diamonds
All quests for diamond are about farming bosses, but they all stop at Fortress of Sandarman. There are more dungeons after that, and people should be able to get a few more after that, for example, at Tomb of Osiris or Silent Corridor...
Also, all dungeon's H quest reward the same, 73 for all bosses save for the final boss, which 78, giving a margin reward of a bit more of 23 per run. This makes some dungeons be way more efficent for farming dia, while others are totally ignored. I don't say that quests should give more (it would be good), but that it should be a bit more balanced, for example, Sea Temple is way harder to farm than Wolves Cave, not because of difficulty, as all monsters go to lvl 50 too, but because the distance between bosses render them not counting to the rest of a party, and it's a lot more of a walk than Wolves Cave if you solo, so it should give a bit more of a reward than Wolves Cave.

18. Map and icons
If you have many icons disabled, you also disable zoom, without any notice of doing so, it should have a separate button for that.
Also, a lot of npcs with many different systems deserve their own icons, s-travel kafras and l-travel kafras have different icons, as their service is different, but general merchant and plain kafra npc don't sell the same items, starting from dungeon wings vs yggdrasyl leaves, or honing polishes. Also, kafra auction NPC also shares the guild manager's icon, and they have nothing in common, the same as the Union sellers. What's more, goddess affiliation npcs don't even have an icon when it comes to looking for them, so you barely get any info on where are they located, if you read the whole forum, as there's not yet a post on where are quest sellers, what do they sell and so on.

Maybe token buyers/sellers should use the token's item icon to instinctively who is who, from the map, and it would be easier than making up a new icon for that kind of npcs.

19. Quit the chat dancing!
As you likely suffered in the past, when you log in, you may find your chat in a random position. The game is made so you can place it wherever you want, but the issue is that if even happen to change chars for a moment, the chat
may be at any random spot in the screen. Luckily, that's the requisite, "In the screen"... still, why does it need to move so much? Even if it's per character or account, people seems this like a lack of care in the game.
Here's an example:

Spoiler

Again, the "chat" interface is an example, it also happens with the quests track panel on the right and those like that.

20. Max view range glitch.
I think I should rather make a different post for this, as this is a glitch on its own. Sometimes, even if your system especs surpass by real far RO2's recommended requeriments, after you connect in a char, the game crashes for no reason. When this happens, this renders that character unuseable for at least a few hours, unless, the player knows how to temporaly fix this: Set all bars on the graphics tab to minimum. Then, ingame, you can set it back, it will work perfectly fine.
Thankfully, this player-side fix can be done before log in as well on character selection screen, but this is a player confidence killing bug.
I know it's not "just me", as I explain this solution to someone on /1 once per month, sometimes twice, and I know it's not more because the number of players is not "increasing".

21. Multiple Pyramids
Spoiler

Pyramid is designed to have more than one pyramid at a time, whereas this should be the default, maybe changing the top a little more often, there should be more pyramids, probably one per season, one more in events... or such.
I don't know if the multiple pyramid was before but it was buggy then removed, but the thing is, now there is not more than one pyramid. Most games who have a system like this have at least 2 all the time.

22. Item descriptions
Did you notice the ammount of phantom stones I'm storing? No, they are not to try to get the top a few times once I find something I want, but because item descriptions are beyond lacking.
My sorc has 4 different "Master Battle Manual Order", none of them from Dapara. How can I know if they are the same buff, the stackable together one, the 30 mins one or the 24h one? I know Dapara's is one of the of the 30 mins ones, and there's another that says it is a 30min one, but what about the rest? What's the "Duration of use"? I know some come from HHB, some from event rewards, and pyramid.
This same thing happens to other items like movement elixirs or Adventurer's Battle Manual Order.... And fix the Lucky powder box x5's description too, please, it says you will get 10.
Also, the majority of random boxes don't give even a clue about what can they give. I don't mean to do as HHB that tells you all the drops, but just what kind of item can you get, like in Mystery Chest I should say about green seedrunes.
This could be an append to the 9th suggestion, as it's about the same issue, just that the 9th is oriented to item names, quests and skill descriptions, and this is about item descriptions.

23. Disable cannot destroy
Today's maintenance will remove Corrupted essence and related from drops, quests and NPCs. It normally is better to store these items to use them next year or selling them right before the event, but... I stored last year's pumpkins and they are still waiting to be used again. This is a example, but... There are many items you need to destroy, but thanks to "cannot destroy", unusable items get stuck forever until you delete that character, unless you know Poring Rock or Santa to donate it instead.

24. Keep event NPCs for a while
After a event for a whole week, sometimes more, they ask all the time where did the event npcs go, and they keep many event items.
The idea is to keep the npcs for a week after the drop is gone, so they have a chance to trade their rewards.

25. Hint about upcoming events
You normally learn about an event by reading the patch notes, in other words, you're already in the event when you discover there's a event. Sometimes, you can guess from the date, like Halloween's, Christmas and Saint Valentine's events, but what if the event gets delayed, like Doubloons, or changed, like this year's Halloween's?
People should, not "know" the event before the event, but at least know "next week, there's a event"

26. Make a simplified list of rules
You can find most if not all rules of Ragnarok 2 in WarpPortal Documentation, but to explore such a book you need dedication, time and it's quite technical sometimes, so it makes people not understand it, or just grow bored and quit.
I'd make a post about the rules in this forum, and another post for the rules in-game.
For example instead Policy of Third Party Programs I'd make a post like...

In-Game Rules
These are a set of simplified rules for player coexistence in the game.

[...]
20. Macros are allowed, bots aren't.
[...]
About Macros vs Bots and what to do if I suspect about someone

They probably exist now. I checked the forum and I didn't find any, so if that were the case, why don't you place it a bit more easy to locate?

27. Fix quote bugs
Every time I edit this post, the quote I did to Idun's message gets 2 more extra line breaks.
Also, you can type nothing in a quote box, and it will make a different quote box, so you need to open the BBCode mode, fix it manually without getting scared of all these marks and worrying about that you might destroy an entire post of 22311 characters.

28. Icons in the forum
On posting skill builds, gears, cards, and such, it becomes troublesome to find icons on the internet, and it's a lot of work to screenshot them and crop each of the icons in the image, then uploading it to a external site, then, link it here, which by the way doesn't work well all the time.
It would be a good feature for the forum adding these icons to make easier to access them in the forum, and not relying on a site that will eventually delete the picture and render your guide less understandable.

29. Emoji
I have a feeling that they used to exist before, the forum Smileys in the game chat, but I don't know if it's just me or it got removed.
It would be good to have Emojis to express yourself other than the Emoticons, as you can't use them for someone who is in another map, channel or, even just far away.
If the feeling I have is right, and it got removed it was likely to over use of them, but that's "easily" manageable. Make them for the chat only, and disallow the chat being able to use over one per message.

30. Flood control
Something commonly mistaken as spam, flooding is one of the biggest issues on the public chats, /1, /2, /3 and /n. There should be a control in chat that mutes for 10 minutes (for example) to people who try to post the same 3 times in one minute. This will also help a bit when gold spammers break in... which leads me to the next suggestion.

31. Report in-game
You were asked this for years, too, but let me explain. Gold spammers break in most of MMORPGs, and most of people don't know the route to WarpPortal support page, they get scared on the many questions there, don't know what section to report it in, and by when the staff is able tor read it, the gold spammer is far gone. Also, some don't know how to log in the forum, specially steam only users, and people who does know how to log in, think it's too much troublesome to get to the form, the thread, making it, hosting the picture, linking it and again, waiting to be read.

For this I suggest what many games have in chat, a "Report as gold spammer", the functionality should be just storing the messages for a while and to study if they have a url, only when enough people reported it as a gold spammer. If these requisites are met, the game itself should send the report.
This is applyable on may other examples, but I left it on the most used in games.

32. Multiple same name same use items
I already mentioned about items sharing names and descriptions 10 suggestions ago, but it's known, that many items are repeated with the same name, same effects and same binds, cannot destroy, cannot trade... and such.
It's okay if they have even different restrictions to have multiple items (despite it being slightly weird), but if they are the exact same item, like "The chance coupon", from HHB, from event and from daily login, why do they take 3 slots?

33. Fix Loot boxes disappearing
When you use a loot box you didn't pick up from a monster, there's a chance for the stack to dissappear once you use the first. This happens with The chance coupon, Cheny's soul, Lutie box, that item that gives random runes, and many others, but it somehow doesn't happen with HHB.
It sometimes gets mistaken on just having the item moving around to the first empty slot in your inventory, like when you place items in Auction House, but that's not the case.
If you have 3 or less on one slot, once you move it it might turn into 1, and if you split it, you will move 1 to the other slot and the current one will empty, when this bug happens before opening them.
This is a important bug.

34. Clean the forum threads
There are some important threads, like this that despite being sticky, are completely unmaintained. The one who posted it got retired from the forum, and the images got deleted by the host. If someone enters a thread like that: "A pinned post from a long retired staff member with a tutorial based in pictures only", it's the very image of a closed game. It happened to... I'm not sure I'm allowed to mention other companies' games, so let's leave it on "three other mmorpgs I used to play"

Now, of course, not all posts should be made clear, just the ones a newbie may think good.

If it's about a non-staff user, or it's not pinned, nobody ever minds about it being unmaintained, but, just out of safety, please update these.

[EDIT October 14th]
I added also a few edited pictures so you don't see my chars builds or anything of the sort. If you want to meet them ask me in-game!

[EDIT November 7th]
Noticed I had the month wrong and fixed it in the last updates. I know I had just come up with one more suggestion this very morning, but I forgot. :p_cry:
[EDIT November 13th]
Added a few more. I also remebered last week's suggestion while writing them :p_hi:. It was number 24.
[EDIT November 27th]
I remembered the last in my original list, it was number 32, but I think I'll keep using this post onwards, since there's many more suggestions that come and go as you play.
The ones after nº32 are all brand new. Still, I'll keep editing when I see something worth editing or add any new ones

Thanks for dedicating your time to reading! :p_laugh:

That's a lot of feedback, it's good to see people still interested in voicing opinions to be helpful. However there are few misunderstandings in your post which I'd like to correct. After that i'll give my thoughts on some of your suggestions to add to the discussion.

Remove (or lower) the max level on death penalty.

This did catch many players with that intention, but after these months, everyone knows that instead losing 0.5% next level requeriments on death, you lose 100% of your current MP.

From what i know, it's still 0.5% of the next level even for ML40. The issue is that they set such a high requirement for ML41 that 0.5% of that is equal or higher than the current MP cap. They're aware of this so it will likely be fixed.

8. Rebalance.
The last "rebalance" meant only "nerf" this class who was unable to solo, along thief and ranger. Thief also lost the use of Dark Illusion, as it was meant to be the only 100% crit thief skill.

Dark Illusion is still a 100% crit thief skill. In fact, the change was to make it so. Originally the skill incorrectly "doubled damage", making it possible to crit with that doubled damage. Now it's just a guaranteed critical hit as it was intended.

9. Rename.

Falcon Assault doesn't use M. Attk. This is easy to test as long as you know how to calculate damage, it's always used the Physical Skill Effect like other skills. It is a typo that should be fixed though.

Btw, what are you comparing Deadly Blow to? It is on the same level as Double Attack but with extra damage from the combo points. If you look at Cross Impact though, that one is excessively strong for such an early skill (i'm still not sure why it was buffed).

10. Explain stuff
People doesn't like pop ups, also, on quests 30~50 you get some runehole punchers and runes you will not ever use, because dungeon equipment and Guaranyang's equipment don't have slots.

Dungeon equipment does have runeslots: http://prntscr.com/fxw50j
The problem is most people are forced to skip them. You can also blame this on the fact that you get blue gear when you change classes and you don't feel a need to change gears.

I do agree with having more in-game explanations for certain systems though..

1. Update Dapara.

I'm surprised you didn't suggest to increase the cazar drops to make people run the dungeons instead of farming MP. Same thing with the materials for lower level gears, why focus so much on the easy out (buying it) instead of looking at the drops?

I think the MP shop is nice as an alternative to have, but I think it's flawed to focus on making it be the main way to obtain items. I also don't think players immediately need to buy Skill Points when they turn to ML (but I would like to see at least one point be given as a reward so they can use Ymir).

3. Add search features
For the Auction House I can understand, but searching through mails seems a bit much.

4. Shared storage
They want this too, but it's not an easy task for them. I believe the references you see are there because the account storage was shelved originally. It's not like they were intentionally teasing a future feature.

5. Sorting pets
I'm the kind of person that checks the pets progress when i open the DNAs, but i can see how it would make sense to at least push towards the top the pets that have unused fragments.

6. Patch notes format

People will complain no matter what, and talking about things that are in a testing phase can also have negative effects if the concepts don't work out in practice the way they want them to.

15. Not so much extra exp rate

Exp bonus shouldn't ever be higher than 100% (aka double exp), and it shouldn't be often. That's why there has been work done in adding quests instead and reworking the requirements, so people don't feel their only choices are "slow grind" or "max level in 2 days".

From what i know, it's still 0.5% of the next level even for ML40. The issue is that they set such a high requirement for ML41 that 0.5% of that is equal or higher than the current MP cap. They're aware of this so it will likely be fixed.

Dark Illusion is still a 100% crit thief skill. In fact, the change was to make it so. Originally the skill incorrectly "doubled damage", making it possible to crit with that doubled damage. Now it's just a guaranteed critical hit as it was intended.

They did the high mp loss on purpose, so people wouldn't jump for ML45 after niflheim is added and to make people wonder the mp requeriments for ml41. Regardless, it's still an issue, as people who got caught, are already caught, and people who aren't, won't get caught. so it's just a way to get newbies and short tempered people to raqequit at ML40. Even if they set it one way or another, they should just lower the mp loss on death for ML40.

Dark Illussion didn't change: That's the problem, the description means that it was meant to be the only 100% crit rate (under conditions) skill for thieves to have, but now Hiding (The requeriment) and Cammouflage share that same effect, so Dark Illusion got nerfed because of this.

Falcon Assault indeed doesn't use M.Atk, that's why I wrote it in the rename section, I spoke to many people and a few weeks ago I learned about it, before posting this thread. It's one of the things I say that it should be fixed, just like many quests descriptions, npc names and so on.
Maybe I should have called the 9th suggestion "Fix texts"?

I'm comparing Deadly Blow to Deadly Blow. The damage output is not 7% per combo point, but 70% as I spoke with some people, that's another text that should be fixed.

I talk so much about Dapara because I am pretty much the only player who stores them for other reasons than selling them on AH. People only farms for mats that only monsters drop, and buy the rest from Dapara. You don't exactly get any info on what monsters drop all the mats you will need, and even if you do, you can spend 3 hours before you get one piece of that material you're looking for (I even spent 6 hours once). I don't feel like drops are low (which most of players do), but that you need some luck (something these player have), but everyone ends up buying all they can from dapara.
About Cazar and Eddga from NPC, you are meant to be able to get some equipment to be able to play, but if you need to have a rank more to be able to buy a single piece of your rank, or trying to get a party, which you won't get, mostly because you don't have the right equipment to start with, and if you do, you will die or compete for the drops... it's way unlikely that you will get them. You also used to use them to get Serenia before the ml rebalance, but before the last maintenance, you had to use Serenia, if you wanted to get Cazar or Eddga.
As for extra points, tanks have two ways to become bulky before high ranks, spending months farming to get a few HHB or buying extra points on rank D. This has become an issue since the mp cap cut in half in rank D, but many tank classes still follow this. Also, even if players don't plan on becoming a tank, they farm for HHB, and most of them try to kill a lot of monsters the fastest they can. And last but not least, some classes can't pretty much solo a single thing from rank B onwards, unless they already bought all extra points. Such is for example the case of my main character. Even with a full osiris set, with all runes, a +20 weapon a friend lent me (lacking one rune, but it's not mine, I won't change it), she still can't solo a single monster at DWL. Thanks to the element, my witch can kill a Skull Mage and die at the same time, using this rod.

Why do you think it would be too much? Mailbox currently stores up to 31 mails, which, thanks to lack of shared storage, gets usually full, and, since mailbox sorts your mails at random, you need to search for new mails. And what if you need to re-read a mail someone sent you among the load of mails you already have? You need to spend a long time looking for the specific mail.
It would be also helpful for cleaning the mailbox, for example, if you want to keep one mail per person.

Shared storage was meant to be a thing, but it got removed, I heard about that, but I don't know if it was just not added or something. I know I never met it. I never meant it was a tease of a new feature. I mean that it should exist. Even if it's a different way of the originally thought, with a fixed ammount of slots.

Some people don't farm or buy pets, they just go doing their quests, and mail their DNAs to one single of their chars. When they notice, their mailbox and inventory are full in different DNA's and they can't remmember all the mobs they killed in the last month, but they need their inventory back. In this case, they need to open their DNAs without checking them. If anyone ever does this, when they want to add the binding protein, they won't know what DNAs can they apply this to, and they need to check the whole DNA menu.

People will complain, that's life, indeed, but this is about activity in a game. If they read "We did nothing, here's a new offer to pay us", they will answer "Good bye, game", as they think they are only interested in the money, not in maintaining the game at all. Too many changes in a Real Money Shop, and no changes at all in the actual game, tells people that the game is dying and they need money to keep the servers on, and that even then, it won't probably keep up, so telling a bit of what it's tested behind scenes will make people a bit more confident on what they are indeed doing something. This is not about "not updating the game", but about "not updating & not giving any news of it being alive". Don't say exactly what did you test or what is the meaning behind it... Just tell people that the game is not over.
Idun's answer to July 12's maintenance was more helpful than the actual patch notes, about "expect changes next week".
Spoiler Edit for faku1810

As the game is nowadays, if you take all chances of over 200%, people will anger about it being too hard, so now it would make people suffer if share events didn't get a chance of x10, but the scalling should be slower. For example, instead... lets say if 3000 entries make 200%,  2500 entries 180%.

But it will be still their WarpPortal name, which is still a bit unsafe.

Spoiler

MP Loss:

I agree that the MP loss is too high and it should be adjusted to still prevent early access to ML41, without making the risk of death so high that you'd rather not play. I was only making it clear that it's not a different calculation but still 0.5% of the MP needed for the next level.

Skills:

Dark Illusion could never be used without Hide, and Hide/Camo always made attacks be critical. I believe the description was meant to describe the obvious: "You require Hide, Hide makes it critical, hence this skill is always critical", which is why the description feels redundant. I won't deny it's a nerf (because it used to deal x4 the base damage before) but it was simply changed to work as intended from the start. Maybe it would be better if it had the "always crit" effect without requiring Hide instead, since currently the only difference with other skills is that you can't use it during battle.

I see, I misunderstood what you meant when talking about Deadly Blow and Falcon Assault. It seemed to me like you were pointing out the skills don't work properly, when you simply meant the descriptions are not accurate. It's true that Deadly Blow seems to be weaker than it is due to the typo. (Though it actually is weak, since even with 5 combo it deals less damage than Cross Impact).

Dapara:

My point with MP Shops is that rather than focusing so much on them, they should make changes to the way drops work so people actually farm monsters (bringing another purpose to exploring maps and killing different monsters, instead of thinking "where's the best place to get MP fast?"). Currently, all monsters in Dayr drop all of the mats, that's why there's no hint on where to farm them, and probably that also bloats the pool table making it harder to get specific drops in a fast way.

I believe I read somewhere in the forums that Dapara was added in response to the drops issue, instead of making a proper distribution of items for different monsters. I see no problem with people having something to do with MP aside of leveling up, but I think it's healthier if players farmed items directly rather than MP, otherwise a lot of content is ignored if it's not efficient for grind or related to quests.

Most of the other issues regarding people "needing" gear to actually play, are related to the bad balance of PvE content that started with Dayr Desert and kept getting worse with each new map. Making gear easy to get from a shop is a bandaid when you consider the real issue is balancing the difficulty of the game itself.

Mailbox:

I mean it's too much because you'll have at most 5 or 6 pages with 5 or 6 mails on each page, and mails aren't sorted randomly, but from newest to oldest (it doesn't change even if you read them). So while it is bothersome to find old stuff to reread, it doesn't seem to me like it needs a search system. I mean, I agree that it's easy to fill it up if you send stuff but don't people usually delete those mails right away? Can't imagine a lot of players having cluttered mailboxes except for those who constantly sell/buy in the AH (and yet those are deleted when you claim items).

Storage:

It's okay, it's been discussed a lot and I agree it's something we need. I only replied like that because you mentioned the descriptions of items and said that "after a year there's still nothing", when the truth is that ever since the game was released, it hasn't been added. It's not that they don't want it either, but it's not an easy task and they're tackling different things as they go.

DNA:

Now, maybe this is me being a blockhead, but I have a hard time following your reasoning. People often gets DNA and mails it away, that's true. Then, you mean people spam-open the fragments just to release inventory and will leave the proteins for sometime in the future when they won't remember what pet had fragments? That's why I don't get. Since you're opening the fragments at that time, might as well use the proteins right after.

Though, as I said, I don't see anything wrong with asking the pets with non-zero fragments to be higher in the list, in the same way as they send level 0 pets to the bottom by default.

Patch Notes:

Sure, I mean, it was attempted in the past to some extent but the hardest part is to keep it relevant. While Idun's words were actually well received, it's not like they'll always have something close to release or with a set date, as most things are either waiting for this or that team to do something. Even if you keep it vague, it will be "we're testing bugfixes" or "our teams are working into some updates" and at first it will feel good and it might even generate some hype and speculation, but as time passes, people will get tired of reading the same vague oneliner of "yes, game is still alive, be patient".

Of course that's just my opinion based on how things have gone in the past, I'm sure njoror or Idun would have no issue in adding those oneliners to the patch notes.

Exp Boost:

I do agree that the current state of the game makes players feel they "need" 300% or it's a wasted day and the events shouldn't listen blindly but try to keep it moderate. However, my point is that this shouldn't be the focus on a long term, and instead the should fix the leveling process so that the exp bonus can be gradually phased out.

Goddess Quests:

The Goddess questline is likely to make a comeback in the future to keep moving the leveling process away from grinding, so at that point new scrolls for higher levels might appear. However, it's important to note that these quests, differently than Unions, aren't meant to be farmed for the shop contents. As you said, the questline is there to ease up the transition to ML system and explain elements, while also helping players to level up through quests rather than grinding, while the shops are more of an optional reward for people who prefers to grind to level up instead of questing so they don't feel they're mindlessly killing monsters "just to get MP".

Whereas stats balancing on monsters will likely not happen, until about when Niflheim is added, earning a good set to be able to get by, even if you need to max refine it and even then go on party, it's something you often can't choose if to skip, so making sets is nowadays essential in most of cases. Not all monsters drop all items (pillarnium pieces), you need a blacksmith or a artisan and farm the collection of it, or buy from dapara. If you're after Menace set, you have no choice, only farming from mining spots in dayr, but that's likely the reason there are way more powder spots than fragment spots.

About the mailbox, that answer only proves you never played with over 3 chars at the same time, mailing each others from time to time. You get the new mails on different spots varying the date you sent them, but not in the right time, I have in most of my mailboxes, mails with 20 d expiration date in the first page, and 29 in the second and third pages. The intent is to be sorted by received date, but the actual result is not that unless you go one by one, mailing only once per month.

I know about the shared storage being a real hard thing to do, but we already have temporary box and guild storage, there's a way to mix these two to make it happen.

This post is about stuff that would be good features for the game, and the game promotes in many items about some "shared storage", between chars in your account, so this point is to clarify that if it's something the game meant to have, like so many items suggest, it's something they could add.

You mail DNA when you have 1 DNA, because you're not farming for DNA, but you happen to get it. Then, you need the room, after for the whole year have been sending mails of DNA from porings to Eddga Juniors, so, you have not the sligtliest idea on what monsters' DNAs had you opened, and even if you happen to do know which ones were, you will need to find all monsters you killed and you got their DNA from, for that whole year, in the whole DNA menu, and they aren't sorted by ingame level either, because many monsters may appear a lot of levels later, or their variants, for example "Chon chon", the flies in east mjolnir, or Ramos.

Why wouldn't it help to say, using one of my suggestions as an example, "We tried to add account storage, but we didn't make it"? Some players think (or they tell me they think) that in maintenances absolutely nothing is being tested, and staff is just playing around with commands, if they even connect. It's not my bussiness to refute it, but if people really thinks that, people won't stay long in the game, and not showing anything in patch notes is not helping.

So far the only argument I have to refute it nowadays, is that the game kicks everyone out when some staff does so, which proves why it isn't exact maintenance times, starting sometimes at 15:03 or 15:06 instead 15:00, and it doesn't start again exactly at 19:00.

We are on the same page about exp rate, but as I said in the beggining of this reply, it's unlikely to ever happen until Niflheim is added, because it feels to be in the same line of work, and it would make delaying it even more.

To this point, as long as rank S/AA jump is not so insane as the previous two rank ups once they add it, I think it would be more benefitial to the game adding Nordics' Hell than rebalancing monsters exp, if doing so delays Niflheim.

Still... it's something that should be done.

Both Union and Goddess Quests share one problem, for some reason or another: The lack of quests.

I don't only say that Sol/Nött should have more quests, but Union too should add some past ML ones. They are good systems but they are still underdeveloped.

it would be great if you can send multiple item in 1 mail, let's say 10 item.

There's the auction house too, you should add rarity options, price limits... to the search bar.

also, add guild finder system since there is no way to get any info about guild recruitments in game other than shouting in public chat.

Hotkey "N"

N is for group/raid recruitment not specifically for a guild. you can't put a guild recruitment containing full information about the guild, for example : when is their prime time, what time zone do they play, what kind of requirement do they need, other than that a new player looking for a guild usually end up confused and not knowing which guild to join because the different time zones.

forum supposed to be the guide or walkthrough for the game, but if you prefer to play the game via forum then I won't argue anymore.

and wp can just simply put a button link in-game to the forum showing the guild's content like screenshot, activities, guild admins etc.

there are some several points were a lot of people would agree (me too), its not always needed to changes comfortable things like scrolling windows or osemthing (which would be apreaciated to), its juts, if we consider that there are some stuff which would be better to see soon modified would in my opinion be, stuff like, update all that relevant pre-master level stuff, to a new kind of level, and with that i mean, things like the topic starter said, update professions like alchemist and cheff (no one wanna be cheff, and i knwo why, im cheff, so i know what im talking about xD)
another point would be, the maps! just udate mt mjlnir, east, south plain, dunno, izlude hill! etc etc. ii mean with this, who the hell is using mt.mjlnir, more than 20 minutes pro character? even the newbies, go straight to prontera, and contnue then, in my opinion there are really nice done maps, with such a coool enviroment, that, before smash out an further greater update like nilfheim, i would consider to boost up anyhow, the actually non used maps, cause at high end level, th only stuff you do at mt mjlnir, are the carnaval dailly quest, baphomet garden? no one do it, izlude cave? same, Wolves cave, is the only one, and to be honest, its bored as hell, no wonder there are no diamond farmers XD! as soon i got my 3s swag, i never went back there! it was annoying.. another point could be the deserts, 3 great deserts, and we use non of them really, ok, dayr deset for condor, muka and daillies, and that twilight vanguard quest, ok, its soemthing. wuld be nice to see there a boss to hunt it there and see more activve players.

i just want to say that, wonderland is a lot used dungeon, and jawaii ocean island, is another every day used map. every day used map over an hour, thats nice, really nice, its there for that. but... iimagine now, you could spend 1 hour a day in EACH MAP cause, in each map there is soemthing interesting! and profitable for sure, we could do things lik, dunno, with new cheff recipes, we would need fluffy mushroom to craft stuff, but we would ned previous maps things too, but an greater amount of it, to get and buff-food that make us 250 more def, soemthing, which is worht the effort to craft it, you know?

im just talking about, to use the ressources we already have, and make it with non greater work than me and i bet a lot of others could do, just having the source code xD!

you could even open an idk, maybe an suggestion with open source stuff, i could even send you scripta in c++ or python or whatever if you want it, to make new quest, do you use LUA for qust? for sure yes, well, then let us help you out dam... always seeing "50% price off on kafra" who the hell gives s sh**t about spend money on a game, where no really updates ocmes out, and were the best moment to play was like 2 years ago? its non productive think in that way, i was owner of a private server of another game, and i just took stuff the original already had, and we pumped up, so the people loves it, you saw high end people helping lvl q people, just cuse they was at the same map, the high end was farming ingredients, and the other was beeing leveled up like a booster, all was happy, raid of 20 people to crush all the high end bosses, and an very huge amount of trades, and i swear over all, i had in the so to say "kafra cash shop" only 3 things (VIP account", some crazy damm fast mounts, and soemthing else, ah yes, refinment materials) nothing else, just for the lazy ones. i mean, you guys made a good job making the game a non-pay-to-win game, its cool this way. but, in my personal opinion, it could be a wey better, if you just re-organice, update, the things we already have, like the topic starter said.

professions, dailly quests (for hign ends, cause, cosnider now, that reach ml40, its actually 2-3 weeks maximum) re-use past nice dungeons like baphomet garden, izlude, etc etc, and, well, you would see, that there is not needed a new gear update, or card update or stuff like that, as soon we have enought to do, with whatever we could use if there would be a small update on each of the things we already have. put some OP bosses at low maps, dunno, like an huge poring on 1st map, an huge rock wolf of those at south plain, an mega mermaid on izlude, etc, just that, you just have to resize the 3d model, ist it a granny2 file?i have a script for that xD! guys, please, comment these ideas to who ever takes the responsabillity to make furhter changes on the game, cause this was, tie ago, a very nice game, and its loosing players day for day. thanks for your attention, and, please, please! keep it gpoing! (and the cash will come back for you)

over and out
