Heya, just looking for some advice from you regarding sorc skills (PVM)

 

 For now, this is what I plan to do with my sorc: http://irowiki.org/~...lakDkAeBhcgAIn1  (please dont mind the 1st and 2nd job skills  :p_laugh: )

 

But im not sure about those elemental summons and those insignias. 

 

So question is:

 

1. Is it ok to have 4 elemntal summons? ( i read somewhere that Tera is pretty useless but having an earth element might come in handy).

 

2.do I really need insignias? If yes, what are the most used insignias or the one I need to prioritize or maxed out?

1. its k, you'll actually end up with every of them by grabbind all the insignias

2. all of them are very well used in their specific scenario. Water and Fire the most common due to Wind PW and Diamond Dust.
no need to max them, lv1 if you only want the damage increase, lv2 if you want the defensive property for that element.

(lv2 insignia converts the atk of anyoje inside it's aoe to that element, this includes monstets autoattacks and skills that dont have a specific element. Use proper reduction to said element and you become borderline unkillable while in it's aoe)

insignias when used successfully can make even valk/ifrit EQ a joke

oh.. thats interesting. so it can also be used to convert the mobs auto attack to whatever element you want? hmmm very interesting.. but anyway, so level just level 2 insigs are fine it seems. i still have one skill point left.

Insignias are pretty useful, lvl 3 not only buffs damage but also cuts the delay. You should also definitely bring endow quake, tsunami and tornado, as they significantly increase the damage of grave dd and varetyr respectively.

 

Summon tera is useful as well as it can endow Pwave and increase grave's dmg by a solid amount

part of the effects dont work, like delay/cast time reduction, and the damage increase doesnt work for any of them. (well, if adding 25 flat dmg on a spell is what you call working then idk :v. It clearly was intended to be 25%, but they forgot the %)

if your talking about lvl3 wind insignia's skill delay effect,

 

it does work, albeit only to mage wind skills.

call Tera plus Crests that boosts on elemental property

damage, Earth,Wind, Fire.

Insignia Crest can be coupled with Elemental Spirit.

My sorc has tera and i use it often i like it/I feels he is underrated but its quite good


TERA SOR skill is INSIGNIA unlike SCH Body Painting/Masquerade skills,

Compared to Shadow/Thief/Assassin TERA is an amateur outclassed

Just a question regarding Striking Skill. Does it passively enhance Varetyr Spear damage by level or do you need to have the Striking skill activated to have the damage bonus?

both. Having it enhaces the physical portion of the skill formula and the buff gives you atk to scale it. However, it is abysmal low compared to the magic portion.
buffing myself with it barelly changed 3k in damage ( on already 100k+ hits)

for varetyr damage, no. Only get it if you'll ever be buffing other ppl. Even then, it's not necessary to max it
