There's a couple of ways they could go about resolving this:

1. Restrict Novices from using RODEX. Once they job change, RODEX will become accessible.

2. Implement a job class restriction on Dead Branches and Bloody Branches. Have them usable by every job class except Novices.

A level cap won't work because dedicated griefers could easily leave a character in the Training Grounds to level to whatever cap is implemented for the branches. And I'm pretty sure there will be people who would be upset at having a Level 100 restriction on branches.

Supernovices and generally overleveled novices are a thing. Some players like to play those. So restricting by class isnt the best solution either. Making RODEX unavailable in training grounds is a better solution, imo.

I did say Novices, not Novice Class, which would exempt Super Novices. And who would bother to level a basic Novice without job changing besides botters? I don't recall anyone boasting about maxing out a Novice, it's always been Super Novice when it comes to Novices.

The thing with RODEX is that it's part of the UI, so I don't know if parts of the UI can be modified to not work on specific maps.

Uhm, me. I don't like the sprite of SN. As I suggested, just make it so the db/Hylozoist could only be usable on certain maps.

Perma-novices are very common. You greatly underestimate boredom. People make perma-1st classes too. I personally made an archer and decked it out. Pretty funny when you take down unsuspecting trans classes. Novice gets play dead, so while they aren't powerhouses a lv 99 novice can be an insane annoyance. It's pretty fun.

I know perma-1st Classes are definitely a thing since they have a much wider array of skills to work with compared to Novice's Play Dead and First Aid. I've just never seen anyone boast about maxing perma-Novices out or playing them.
