- A bug in the Rogue skill Seven has been fixed and is now working as intended
- Fast emotions (Alt + number key), fast chat access (Enter key)  and fast whisper access (TAB key) is now only available if the character is in idle state which means when you are not moving or performing skills
 

Skill Changes

Infiltrator – Katar Mastery
The skill Katar Mastery now gives additional 2%/4%/6%/8%/10% Final Damage Amplification

 

Specialist – Vulcan 300
The skill Vulcan 300 has now a reduced cooldown time of 60 seconds

Bandit – Claw Mastery
The skill Claw Mastery now gives additional 1%/2%/3%/4%/5%/6%/7%/8%/9%/10% Final Damage Amplification

Rogue – Stance
The skill Stance now gives additional 1%/2%/3%/4%/5% Final Damage Amplification

 

Knight – Body Activation
The skill Body Activation now gives additional 1%/2%/3%/4%/5%/6%/7%/8%/9%/10% Final Damage Amplification

Yes! Vulcan300! As for the fast emote/fast chat removal during skills, my guess is it was messing with the server predictions causing more frequent lag walks / rubber banding, for the skill Seven is that the "bug" where you use the skill during a double dash jump to cancel the dash?

Yes, that was actually a bug. The skill Seven has been designed to only interrupt the skills "Head Spin", "Windmill" and "Aerial Kick" but the former devs forgot to implement some code parts for it. It looked unfinished like the "Fire Ink!" skill. This skill was basically able to interrupt a lot of other skills which are not meant to be interrupted by Seven. Seven has been planned as finishing move for the 3 skills I mentioned before.

With idle state is meant, that you can be in emotions like sleep, sit, sit on a mount or just stand around but not while moving and performing skills. As Apocryphos correctly point out it's messing with the server prediction and could be abused for lag walking in PvP matches.

what about the chatting? if i am farming on mission maps or windy farm i surely dont stay still. in the mission map i fight and the windy farm i gather. does this mean i won't be able to chat while doing that?

So, i can still spam emoticons on my PecoPeco or this doesnt work as well too?

Btw (saw it in another forum post) didnt you want to make the melon dropchance higher? (The melons you need to trade to get one of the boxes) Just asking

A lot of classes are getting Final Damage bonuses. I'd like to see the Ninjas in tandem with their critical hit ratios. Might help them vs the high defense pvp.

I am not able to actively type while fighting tbh. You can for sure fiinish your attack and write then and then attack again. While gathering chatting is working.

While you are not moving with your pecopeco but still sitting on it it's possible.

What if you're playing a Savage and you're doing the breakdance or headspin while in PvE and try to type. I do that all the time so I don't get bored, but now I wont be able to do that. Same for the burrow move I assume? What if in PvP I get put to sleep by a ninja for 18 seconds? Am I not able to talk during that time either? In my opinion this change just causes more problems than it fixes if it works as I assume it will :(

Maybe you can just press tab "/g /a /p etc to get to the same feature but fast chat via enter is a no longer available? NVM

And exactly this is one of the reason because it generates a lag walk effect for the other players and this behavior is well known actively abused on purpose. And not only abused on this skill.

Are you sure you're not just patching this due to one person abusing Alt + Number emotions or is this really a known reason that creates lag walk?

1. PvE on a character that farms fast in Verglas etc will be a lot more boring if you have a guild etc cause you can't type mid-animation.
2. You normally don't spam Alt + Number in PvE anyways so maybe a put a cooldown on it for half a second instead of restricting it completely.
3. Wont it create more lag walk effect if you're able to any of the actions that you've restricted when being under a debuff from another player since the spells themself already cause a lag walk effect?

Might just be me but to me this change makes no sense at all and I've never had a single problem with it whatsoever.

We don't need to discuss that. If you think it makes no sense it comes to mind that you might knew about it and abused it actively or even not on purpose. But still, the issue is there. And as you can see also Apocryphos knew about this bad effect. 

 

You guys are always complaining about people using lag-walk and you're complaining that we need to remove that. There is no other way to remove that specific lag walk. We know there are more and we will care about it.

Interesting statement. That clearly shows you know about it as it seems like many others. You already answered your own question and you confirmed that this is actually a known reason. We have tested it extensively and were able to reproduce this with fast emotions AND fast chat activation for many skills of all classes.

I can confirm it as well, playing BSQ all day and alot people lag walking. They dont do it on purpose, pretty much nobody does it on purpose, so i think it is actually a good change.

Sadly, it will prob count for PvE too and this will be annoying i think.

Edit: We will see how it will looks like after the patch, we shouldnt complain before we tested it!

If this turns out to be annoying for PvE we can adjust it a bit next week. For PvP this change will stay definitely.

I have no idea what you're talking about when you're stating that it is a problem and it's causing lag walk issues cause I have never seen it with my own eyes or abused it myself. I rarely even use Alt + Numbers to begin with and certainly not in PvP. If you're telling me that from my statement it seems that I'm abusing it as well then doesn't that mean that from your knowledge of the abusing mean that you're abusing it as well? That's what I'm getting at from this.

I'll try to keep this calm and collected so that's enough for my rant. My main point in this is that there's so many different ways to get around this such as making a small cooldown on the Alt + Number animation + message or not being able to use it while stunned or whatever. I just don't see the point of including chatting and whispers in this issue since last time I checked, chatting doesn't cause lag walk effect. Maybe you're pointing at the /sleep, /sit, /yay commands or whatever but then just either put a cooldown on them as well or restrict the usage of that since you can already restrict people from writing normal enlish words if they contain something inappropriate even if it's something such as rush it (sh it).

Just know that even if I say something doesn't mean I'm doing it myself. I asked a question about if it causes lag walk or not and asked you if you wanted to patch it as soon as possible without thinking of other ways of solving this issue more rationally. Sorry for making it seem like a statement even if I used a questionmark in the end.
