So some of the older guides out there suggest aspd of 175-178 for grimtooth builds. So what APSD is needed to be able to hitlock with grimtooth?

Right now I have 175 unbuffed, and that's not enough. Messing around with the stat calc on the wiki doesn't seem that dumping more points into AGI will really increase it all that much either (I think I have 6x agi right now).

I should have my theif figure once the server comes back up, just need to finish gathering teeth.

Or is this something I might have some trouble achieving?

You should easily hit 178 (honestly probably near 180) with 2x thief figurine and an awake with 6x agi.

Renewal mechanics render true hitlock impossible.  Doesn't exist here.  Even with a 193 aspd auto-warg, auto-DS, auto-cast ranger you cannot get 100% hitlock.  Sins can't get critlock either.

You can get "near" hitlock where you keep enemies from moving very fast to a point where they barely move, but unlike pre-renewal you cannot actually completely stun lock enemies with skill or attack spamming

So it's really about DPS, even with Grimtooth, and how fast you can kill a mob before it moves on (or it has hide sense and can unhide you).

178+ aspd should be sufficient if you can get 700~1000 damage per grim.

Ok, please enlighten me.

In my experience Pre-renewal, 185 aspd crit sins could crit lock anything, I can't in Renewal at 185, at 186, 187...even up to 193.  It seems nearly so at 187+, but if something has enough HP, or I'm not dealing enough dps, it always moves slightly over time.  Even making my Ranger, I noticed the same thing.  I used to be able to stun lock at all aspd levels above 183+ with an auto-bird crit build...so 183, 184, 185, and so forth (I've never made it beyond 185 but I assume the same).

So what aspd is necessary for things like  Critlock, Stunlock, Grimlock, etc?

im getting 52 crit rate, 180 aspd on my assassin and it crits around 95-97% rate and grims for over 700 usually in raydrics they dont lock unless you crit them they are partially locked, if i try to hit AKs with aspd i get PWND but i can grim them pretty quick with my lower level wife with me we can grim down bloody knight pretty quick, but even with both of use useing bloody katars i think we only deal 800 on rays and 950 at pasanas

This +1

With my Dual Dagger Sinx prerenwal it was easy to hitlock everyone that tried to pick out the loki with 179 aspd. As renewal hit the same build wasnt able to do so not even close even with 183 aspd then.

Rolling cutter wasnt able to do this either, while using macro keyboard then so the only delay was the actual latency, since the aspd was enough to use rolling without delay (later on), still no real hitlock.
