Well, since there is no way of playing the game right now, I'll complain about a issue I've found.

The drop rate is exquisite, the RNG seems out of normal, I've been doing a Merchant Skill quest

and were in the step of collecting trunks, I killed several Willows (1% drop rate based on wiki) and no Trunk dropped, so I tried

Elder Willows instead (Trunk drops by 3.5% rate based on wiki), killed several of them, got a Dead Branch(1% drop rate) and a

Wooden Armor (0,3% drop rate) and still no Trunk, what is happening to the drop rate?

its just luck man.,yeah RNG is quite a pain in the ass..its just like plating lucky 7..in my experience i went to sohee map to farm muffler and i got 1 in 2days, as i went to goblin map to farm buckler,i got poporing and goblin card within 30minutes instead.

I doubt It's about luck, sincerelly, I've got more than 149 resins on my char while farming Elder Willows, and no Trunk dropped, being that I need 50 of them, based on the wiki (merchant skill quest).

This means you've killed, on average, 156 Elder Willows. That far to small of a sample size to think drops are bugged. Technically you should see around 3 trunks per 100 kills, but statistics are statistics. You can technically kill 1k Elder Willows and never see a trunk drop.

loot is infact bugged, I level 3 character on elder willow(maybe couple thousands kills?) never seen a trunk drop ONCE, plenty of rough elu, wooden armor, and red blood, 0 trunks.

I flamed on a topic about drop rates because honestly, if if we call it a "chance" of dropping, it means that you could kill millions of mobs and never get any item. Shouldnt be a surprise to anyone.

 

HOWEVER

 

In the specific case of Elder Willows x Trunks, I have to say something feels really wrong. The first toon I made in this server has been lvled up in Elder Willows aswell (two afternoon hunts of approximately 3 hours each) ... I got a real LOT of resins (something around 1k? dont remember) and I have never dropped a single Trunk, or even seen people around me dropping any. Actually I haven't seen a Trunk in the Elder Willows map...

 

I assumed for some reason this drop has been edited in this server, because I still think it's just an RNG matter.

 

But besides that specific case I havent felt any drop weirdnesses... I've even been quite lucky in this server... After little more than 1 week playing I already dropped several good cards...

Snakes should drop snake scales a lot but after one awakening pot I've barely collected 100.

Honestly if just some people are having problems finding trunks its not bugged. It would be if everyone were having this issue.

Right, well as for your issue on the drop rate i'm sure that can be easily looked into.. however i must say that i get "Trunk" all the time when killing elder willows, i never got them much from normal willows however.

Wow! The extreme opposite happened to me. I killed Elder Willows for 2 days and got absolutely no Trunk at all, then went to regular Willows and got 7 Trunk (only needed 7 for my quest) in very few minutes...

 

In this case my theory is gone... It's really just all about the RNG trolling us all.

You have to kill 10.000 Peco Pecos. ( statistically )

 

Card drop rate is 0.01% and if you kill
10 peco, that's 0.10%

100 peco > 1%

1.000 peco > 10%

10.000 peco > 100%

 

In fact, there is no 100% drop change at all, those are all statistics.

At most, arround 40.000 Peco Peco Kill is equal to 99%~ chance of getting the card.

 

I killed over 12.000 Raydrics with VIP and Bubble Gum, got 3 Raydric Cards and 2 Iron Cains which is also 0.01 drop rate.

VIP and Bubble Gum makes huge huge difference.

i got a raydric card in two day after giving up on getting clip from alarms after like 1000 kills of them...

 

 

i switched to glast heim since it felt more rewarding but i die everytime they spawn 2-3-4-5 unless my 95% dodge rate saves my booty... + traps are my best friends

Based on the comments, make me wonder If the drop rate isn't stacked,

like... If you dropped an item before that one in the same kill, the drop rate

of the next items will be lowered, because It's weird, It's even rare to drop

3 items or more from the same monster, with the exception of Willows.

To be quite frank Rng can quite be a little bitch:

 

2 hour munaks hunting -> no shoes

nexte day 2 hour munak hunting -> 5 pair of shoes.

 

Both with bubble gum and vip.

And Basicly if you need trunks ,elder willows and willow are a really bad choice for farming.

Ok, here's the total from the Elder Willow grind:

273 Resins, a Wooden Mail, 5 Dead Branches and no Trunks.

And during my grinding, I didn't saw any other player dropping it too.

 

Edit:. Returned to the Willows area, and grinded there, based on the number of Tree Roots on my inventory, I killed around 180 Willows,

and were able to find 3 Trunks, which comproves that the drop rate IS messed up certainly.

Then look's like the drops are based on Renewal...

The devs could change that.

Are the card drop rates 1:10k?

From what the db and whatnot said I was under the impression they were 1:5k.

 

In anycase yeah a lot of people don't fundamentally grasp basic statistics, also many play into the "gambler's fallacy".

This is the reason why I had no drops... at least so I thought, before people in this very topic have been saying that they found Trunks from Elder Willows...

I give up trying to figure out what's going on. I got my trunks and did my quest, thats what matters to me.
