Hello.

 

Id really like to main warlock, but leveling seems a bit tough to me. Ive spammed aloes in magma2, which got me to 128, but now its really getting to a point where exp becomes really slow.

 

I tried to go scarabs, but Im wasting easily 1,5x as much on pots as I did in magma, the exp is better of course but restocking every 10 min is a bit annoying considering the way to walk to scarabs.

 

I married a lvl 45 SL to the warlock to abuse kaite and went juspe, tho its draining my sp to 0 in 5 min as well as exp is soon going to be pretty slow as well, thanks to the 15 lvl thing. Sadly I cant get her into scaraba, at least not until I get her the quest (which requires lvl 70 is I recall correctly)

 

Could you suggest me if theres a leveling spot that will get me to 150 with medium equip and acess to a scrub SL? Or maybe tell me if im doing smth wrong at scara? I oneshot them, but while I cast I really gotta spam aloes if the mob is bigger than 4 mobs, even with SW as it gets beaten down pretty fast. Or is it normal to spam pots on lock and you just gotta accept it? To me it feels so bad to be spamming as much as I am, as I loved about mage class that they are fine to go with a heal and tele clip, back in the days. :<

 

I got +9 spell DR, +9 fire OMBH, I use a +15 crimson rod with neo punk ancient mimic card, which dont help there, so I use a garg stone buckler. spell temp dex boots, magic glove, ifrit armor and spell 5 pendant, magic & spellflow shadow set. 

 

Yea, to sum it up, either a alternative leveling spot (can be instance as well if its really good, if I dont find an alternative I gotta get the SL into scarabs anyways I guess) to level from 128 to 150 so I can go NCT.

 

If no alternative is available to scara tell me so and if you have a mage class tip for this place, Id be glad to hear it.

 

And finally if its normal to be spamming heal items on warlock if mobbing or if im just bad or doing smth wrong.

Your spot is right.
If scaraba constantly attack you, use fire wall. To prevent restocking back and forth, rodex yourself aloes, open the mail when your aloe stock low.

Instead of using Aloe Leaflets, why not spam Fresh Fish instead? You can use it with a Scattleton Pet to buff up it's healing capabilties by ~1000%. And Fresh Fish comes a lot cheaper than Aloes, as it can be bought at NPCs, just use a merch to DC them.

SW+FW+Drain Life, just teleporting around like what ranger does.

 

Read Spell till your maximum storing limits then release everything at once to the mob, rinse and repeat.

 

Try bradium golem for easier earth mobs than scarabs, they walk very slow and you can mob them around easier or you can choose the non agressive horn and uni-horn scaraba in kamidal tunnel in case scaraba hall is too much for you.

Just grind at scaraba using kaite. You should not worry about your sp if you have lv10 soul drain. Lol using mercenary, you should be able to grind until lvl 56 then do the maneater blossom quest so you can get to lv 70.

Use safety wall and it's easy. Unfortunately, until 150, that's the best spot.

Did you get Soul Drain as High Wizard?

If not Kaahi won't really help, as you have no way to easily recover your SP.

Also try using the lowest kaahi level that keeps you alive to minimize it's sp cost.

You can also equip the Wedding Ring on your Linker and use it as SP-Battery for your WL, thanks be to that SP marriage skill (I always forget it's name derp).

Since it restores a fixed % of the target's sp it doesn't matter if your SL has a low sp pool and your SL can simply sit and recover sp while you kill things with your WL.

Once you are lv.140+, try EP 16.1 instances and quests and you can get to lv.150 and even 160 quickly. The beauty of these quests/instances is that you get plenty of good rewards(aka Honor Tokens), so you aint grinding for the sake of grinding. I found that leveling from 140+ was a bit slow in Scaraba Hall since the mobs were below lv.140, especially when the EXP penalty started to get in the way once you are lv.145+. Also pay attention to high TI, I reached lv.150 rapidly thanks to the amazing high TI(Angra Mantis and Pom Spider, an ideal combo for warlocks), but you may not be this lucky as you may get Shadow 4 monsters instead.

Once you hit 140, don't forget to Bakonawa once a week, wearing your +7 Leaf Cat Hat and 30% exp costume before dealing the finishing blow.
