Looking at the world map of Ragnarok Online

Worldmap.jpg

..makes me feel like it's only a part of a huge continent starting from the nations of Schwaltzvalt Republic which has no land borders with the neighboring Rune Midgard and the Arunafeltz which is  west of the Republic. The Rune Midgard looks like just an extension to this continent divided only b a narrow straight.

There are some island nations known throughout the lands like Port Malaya, Amatsu etc etc and recently a seemingly different continent altogether which is ruled by cats and those snake looking things.

BUT...

Anything Far West of Arunafeltz remains unexplored separated only by a volcano and some mountain range...

#####

What the hell does the true World Map looks like anyway? :heh:

Well..Ragnarok online is like Europe during the middle ages but with steam engines, and talking cats (Puss in boots xD). And there are a lot of areas that should be explored.

but i want to see black death on act in Ragnarok wahahahaha.......(it just reminds me of a certain debuff bug in WoW that literally infects and kills everyone)

...and they call it orbis when it is not even round. :heh:

They are not expanding anymore so it will be impossible to see a the other side. We are hopping to wormholes instead. An endless wormholes.

Imagine getting disconnected at the entrypoint, you'd verily lose half of yourself on that.

the pussy islands is a different place altogether right? Some large island probably the size of a country or a subcontinent and the malangdo is just a tiny island out of nowhere.

Talkin' bout that what-you-call that doram land again? Seems it's not included in the map

Well if that unexplored western terrain does really exist ,I do hope that kRO has plans on adding content for it during our lifetime.

Taking into account that the original plan for RO was 2 episodes a year, we should be on Episode 30 in 2017. Going by what we've been getting in the updates, I'm thinking this was our exploration path:

Episode 1-11: Exploration of some of Midgard (Rune-Midgarts with introductions to Schwarzwald and Arunafeltz); small introduction to Niflheim/Hel
Episode 12: Introduction of Dimensional Gaps for possible travel to the other 6 worlds
Episode 13-14: Introduction to Jotunheim and Alfheim
Episode 15-16: Back to Midgard to expand on world history

So the first 14 episodes of RO simply introduces us to the world of the game at large and Episode 15 onward is when we actually start exploring the worlds in depth. Midgard still needs to be fully fleshed out while we only got a taste of Niflheim, Jotunheim, and Alfheim as future expansions. Seeing as how kRO is spending so many episodes to just flesh out Midgard, I doubt we would've gotten back to Alfheim by Episode 30.

The next location teased is Northern Midgard beyond Thanatos Tower, which isn't even shown on the world maps in the game, just the map system in the UI.

Spoiler

So expect to never start heading west.
