I've seen some topics on how well Trapper hunters permorms in PvM / MvP, but what about WoE? Are they good too?

I ask, around the time, when I played the classic Ragnarok, the Trapper Hunters were no big deal. In fact, when traps changed to affect allies too, many players have turned to other classes (it happened in the bRO a long time ago).

So, what can a Trapper Hunter bring to a guild in WoE? What are his strenghts?

Snares on the defense, shockers to waste peoples sp pots, Sandman is more useful than some may think. and they can possibly 1 shot lower hp players like wiz/hunters with damage traps.

Trappers are amazing IF your guild is organized and fully aware, which is extremely difficult. Planting 3 claymore traps side by side at the portal would be devastating to anyone who enters, and i mean anyone. Watching your allies die because of your traps is the last thing the guild needs.

if your guildmates are not dumb enough to step on your traps, then traps are useful.

there's no such things as dumb guildmates....

might be they're having a lag or something, or miss click walking to your trap

I wonder what's your guildmates think when you kill them with traps, and saying they are dumb...

anyway,

the problem might be you're putting a trap on a dumb place

True! Some traps like Land Mine are invisible. It's harder for our mates to avoid those. That's why I only use visible traps like Claymore Trap until all my guildmates are in their position. And I always stand by near my traps, so I can remove the traps in case my mates need to cross. My guild gave me my own trapping areas, so they know where all the traps are.
