Genetic CC Build

Is it 120 str with str boots or 120 dex with dex boots? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. This would be in conjunction of the +7 CHB. Another question, is there any benefit to refining CHB more than +7, since description doesn't talk about +9, etc?

Temporal STR with EA enchant and either runaway magic or bear's power.
No point in refining it past +7 (as of yet, anyway).
You would want the dex boots to be able to cast acid bomb faster.

So ideally my build should be something like 120 str/120 dex/100 int?
Or what would you suggest?

Pretty decent damage, easy cast, enough survivabiliy, can use most of the gears wity bonuses for CC/AB.

I use 120 STR, 120 DEX, 100 INT, 90 VIT.
Before Cylinder Hairband, I was planning to do 120 dex 120 int and lower STR -- banking to utilize a crimson mace's high eATK. That all changed with how much the phys ATK portion of CC is now favored through the Cyli Band.
BTW if you are strapped for 'good accessories', the sherrif badge you get from the Rockridge main quest is quite nice. 3% phys atk, 3% ranged damage, and +1,000 HP if you have the stats at 90 or higher.

Those sheriff badges do look like nice accessories.
The other accessories worth grinding are the sara's earrings with ea enchants.

Also Tengu set.
Eh, that's pretty pricey and not what determined me going 120 str. But yes, it's a good addition if one has it.

Taking advantage of your post, what weapon do you recommend me to use on gene's leveling? I'm using a +9 RTE 3x AS, but I dont know if going for +9 HF would be better than this (I'm supposed to use Dieter as Homunculus, so HF would help on not breaking weapon with pyroclastic). Thank you for suggestions.

I got a question of my own too. Having a GX and the new build requiring high attack/str. Wouldn't a wakwak faw be better in this situation? Or the faw menblatt continues to be better for damage?
Thanks!

Menblatt > Wakwak
edit: malicious thana hammer will do the trick, but if you have an +10 evil dragon armor you could also opt to use crimson mace, hurricane-fury, or whatever else you prefer since leechback will be taken care of and you can very easily kite.

Temp Str w/ SoL is also nice for the cast animation.

What sprites would it affect?

I'm currently using +9 AS HF ea8 in scaraba. This allows me to two-hit scarabas with fire endow. DR faw ea10 and +10 EDA + succubus is enough for survivability.

+10 EDA
+7 Cylinder hairband
Menblatt faw EA10
Sapphire wirst x2
Temporal str boots with ea enchant and lucky day
The rest of my equips are not relevant for dmg
Main gene at 172 and pushing to 175 to focus on instances only.
P.S: There is a lot of zeny to be made in Faceworm. Going to card cylinder with engkanto most likely. Although I went there yesterday and was hitting the faceworms for about 42k CC's with just mid engkanto. So not bad with just 1 engkanto.
Are you guys running with deviant etran? Or deviant faws? i know it depends on the situation but If you have had both or have both, which one do you prefer?
Also if you have G. Scaraba cards in your sapphire wrist, were you blown away by the damage added? Or was just like 2k dmg added?

so I just 175 my first gene, and second gene is 155 at the moment. do I want to card the sapphire wrist with g. scaraba or would it be beneficial to card it with phen? I am finding that bombing and other stuff is a bit difficult when being hit by a thousand mobs. or are there better options?

It would devaluate your Sapphire Wrist. If there are no options I don't see why not. But why not Love Piece or +12 MBS?

With love piece u lose tengu set and with mad bunny can't tank MVP if solo.
Just use a random phen acc, I wud do that than card sapph with phen. But
Saying that idk wht to card sapphires with mine are still empty. And I just use
Elemental GMR for mvps so I don't need a phen.

I have a few sapphire wrists. Typically defaulting phen + g.scarab for 99% of the time.
Somehow the +cast time% from phen does not affect me, and I am still able to instacast with just cylinder.
Phen
G.scarab
Anti Arrow

Cylinder is skill specific and so it's cast % of 0 would multiply with Phen's cast %.
I use throwaway accessories on my gen tbh, and at the risk of repeating myself, the sheriff badge is a p good alternative to other thing -- especially if you want to put a phen card in something that still gives you damage (though PoM is great too and serves additional utility.)
