Hello, guys!! How are you? I'm very newbie with mage classes and I would like to have your help with equips for WL leveling purposes.

I'm supposed to use these equips:

- +7 Skull Cap (Headgear)

- Moon Eyepatch with Dark Illusion Card (Mid Headgear)

- Toy Syringe (Lower Headgear)

- + 10 Thorn Staff of Darkness Spell 5 Matk 1% (Weapon)

- Shield ----> Need tips about the shield

- +9 FAW Spell enchants (Garment)

- Temporal INT/DEX Boots with Spell enchants (Shoes)

- Orlean's Gown with Pecopeco Card (Armor)

- Magician Gloves (Acessory)

- RWC Spell 2 (Acessory)

Are these equips nice for leveling? Is using Skull cap and TSOD set worth it? (I saw previous threads saying that this is not the best set, because a +15 C. Rod would overcome its Matk, but I dont have zeny for high upgraded C. Rod) Thank you for help

Upgrade your Skull Cap to +9 and put a Red Lichtern card there. If your FAW is clean (no cards), keep it like this until you can afford (or farm) a Nightmare Ancient Mummy Card. If you can, trade your Orleans Gown of Ares for one with Agav Card, or you can try to get a Geffen Magic Robe and upgrade it to +9, but all of this can wait. The Skull Cap should be upgraded, though, even though it's really not the best option, but with the +9 Skull Cap [Red Lichtern] it should suffice to level at least until level 150.

Thank you so much, I will try to upgrade the Skull Cap and get the cards. Do you think that I can get a nice Cast Reduction with these current gears and Sacrament, besides the stats?

You can get all cast reduction that you need with 120 INT and 120 DEX, and temporal dex boots. After that you should forget cast and focus in damage, else you will have none.

 

FCT is and will always be a big hurdle to Warlocks' fast casting.

Got it, so I think that it would be better if I focus on getting more damage instead of Cast Reduction. Thank you so much for the tips

Core gears for later, in this order:

 

*Mob Scarf + Sunglasses - use the NPC sunglasses, that you can buy for 5K or something on Alberta.

*+15 Crimson Rod (with Big Ben and Nightmare Mimic cards - you can buy one piece at a time, and the nightmare mimic card is relatively easy to farm, and you have the chance to get Nightmare AM and Nightmare Arclouse cards in the process)

*Shields with Neo Punk and Nightmare Arclouse cards. (Mad Bunny Special or Valk Shields)

*Nightmare AM Card for FAW

*Flattery Robe with double INT runes

*Commemorative RWC Pin (at least +9) with Yellow Lichtern and Tikbalang cards

*Ordinary Black Magician Hat (with Red and/or Green Lichtern)

*Zaha Doll Hat with Blue Lichtern

 

I would recommend this order, though it's not necessary to follow it.

They will. The question is "when?". But Tengu Set must be reintroduced earlier. I need to buy back the mask that I sold to get my Mob Scarf.

yea Im fine with them keeping it clean and going for tengu before mob as long as mob comes eventually. So thanks for easing my mind ^^

FCT is and will always be a big hurdle to Warlocks' fast casting.

Unless you get 1000 total INT, cos then your radius skill makes it instant FCT.

Or we receive the FCT Garment stone and the patch that reduces warlocks skills' FCT to 1s instead of 2s.

Speaking of this... When are we getting this patch for the new FCT of Crimson Rock? Are they bringing it at all? But honestly, the cast time isnt a big issue for Crimson Rock, it is the cooldown time that makes it completely unspammable, even the Bio 5 Hats will not help much.

 

For us warlocks, Soul Expansion is a nice spammable skill, but aint effective unless going against Ghost Mobs or Element-1 Mobs. I would be very happy if they make an Accessory that enables lv.5 Psychic Wave so we wont be helpless against Shadow/Holy 4 monsters.

Guys, I'm actually leveling my Warlock in Nogg2, but I would like to know if it would be possible to 1 shot Crimson Rock on Scarabas with my current equips. What do you think?

Are you still using TSOD? If so, ditch it and get a +15 Crimson Rod. TSOD is no longer useful for warlocks nowadays, Crimson Rod wins any day.

There's only one way to know. Also, you should be no more than 15 levels below them. If you can't level there efficiently yet, go to Centipedes (Hardrock Mammooth's map).
