Hi guys, just want to check if end game crit build or DA katar build is better in terms of pvm and ocassionally pvp.

Since we have snake head on this server, DA can be achieve easily with katar. In terms of dps which build would do higher dps?

Can you advise on equip as well. Thanks.

Crit is better on things you don't have the hit for because it ignores flee, DA is better in almost every other instance.

Crit dps does surpasses DA at any point you have at least +40% crit dmg on gear (basically 2 paper cards), and that's simply because 40% more on the base 40% extra dmg from crits results in a total 96% extra damage on crit( DA is extra 100% on proc), but you can raise your crit chance to more than 50%, while DA ia forcefully capped at that.

That said tho, Katar DA is just much easier to get gear going and build into.

The DA katar build is also better with grimtooth and sonic blow since they have dex.

What gear would you be using here and stats. I can't find a situation where a crit build beats DA unless it's DA Crit, and even then it's about even.

You can actually build it the "exact same" as a regular DA katar, but replacing dex with luk, and squeezing some crit chance cards into your gears, like Kobold cards. Mere 25 crit on the stat window becomes 50 because of Katars innate trait of doubling Crit rate.

The main requisite to bring crit on par with DA is to have at least 2 papers and 25 crit. Anything else you can add to that will start making it better.(That is, assuming you will hit the mobs with a few less Hit, luk still gives you some so it's not that bad)
The closer you get to 100% crit rate with at least 2x papers, it basically means like if every attack of yours would always proc DA.

Thanks ashuckel, the paper card is so expensive i dont think average players will be able to build one.

Does sonic blow req dex to hit if ur crit build means u wont be able to use sonic blow and grimtooth as both will keep missing??
