Hi All, I'm new to RO and was wondering for crit build in renewal it is recommended to stop at lvl 42 job and not to take DA (referring to (V)adHatter's Dual Dagger Crit GX Guide). Is that also the case here in Restart ?

Ahm no , its not like the build would be different, but the Crit Dual Dagger depends heavy on certian equip that isnt in the game yet at it will take quite a lot of time until it hits. If you going for a crit build it is more a Katar focused one and for that you still can very well use DD 10 and you should, since it actually increases the damade dealt by katars (it doenst triggers double attack) .

On this Server as of now, go either for a classic nat crit katar build, or the more common Double Attack Katar build (with snake head), at least these are two common builds (with slight variations) you will find.

Job 50 gives you a Katar[2] which is kind of nice as it sells for around 500k if i'm not mistaken.
And job 40 to 50 can be achieved in a day at leaf cats, a thief makes it really easy and you'll get for like 200k of drops ?
(Especially with steal).

But else yeah, you can stop way before job 50 if money isn't what you want.
But take DA lvl 10 anyways.

Why ? Your crit won't depend much on your luck stat. Sure it plays a role.
But you might want that double attack one day.
And it costs nothing apart from a bit of time (and reward you with huge money for a new player).

So... well, job 50 isn't required for thief, but it's always worth it

I went job 50 and did not get a katar. Is that just the way the server is or should I put in a ticket? I'm pretty much a poor hard working player so I was looking forward to some extra zeny

A katar crit sin should want double attack for the second hit damage bonus, so go to 50.
A DD crit sin isn't really viable at this point in the game.
