Does attack delay start at the beginning of casting or at the end?
If a skill has 0.3s cast time and I have 0.4s attack delay, will it be spammable every 0.4s or 0.7s?

Attack delay, if we take a sorcerer with no Freecast and a sorcerer with Freecast, shows that the sorc immediately starts the ASPD penalty at the beginning of cast.
So yes, Attack Delay happens the very moment you begin casting till the moment the cast is complete.
What you are trying to ask is actually about Aftercast Delay right? because Aftercast Delay happens directly when the cast of a skill is complete, it would logically mean in relative truth, the skill is spammable every 0.7 seconds when counting and factoring in Cast Time, but 0.3 is so barely noticeable it really still seems more like 0.4~0.5 seconds to me.

thank you. i'm really asking about attack delay (aspd) not cast delay.
Does that mean having 0.3s attack delay and 0.4s cast time will give you the same spamrate as 0.4s attack delay and 0.4s cast time?
i'm asking about bowling bash specifically. it doesn't have cast delay or cooldown in idRO, only attack delay.

To add on to Ash's post, it's a common misconception that Aspd delay goes into effect when a skill's cast bar ends. Instead, it does so when the skill's cast bar begins. This means that Aspd only needs to match or be less than cast time to chain.

I should have edited that post to say Aspd delay isn't the same as animation delay. If the skill wasn't chained, isn't chainable or wasn't danced, you will go into animation delay as is the case with BB.

Where can I see Animation delay for every skill and how to reduce it?
BTW: After-cast delay starts AFTER the cast is done, right? Not, when it starts casting.
