I'm thinking of desocketing my Deviling card and it seems the best way to do that is to use either a Silit Pong Bottle or a Heroic Desocketing Book. This guide https://support.warp...cket-cards.aspx says that the Silit Pong Bottle is only reserved for  MVP cards, but I've also read that it works for boss cards. I've been gone for awhile and I understand that there has been some "fake" MVP cards that have been put into the game that's why GMs are being very careful with desocketing, so can someone please explain to me how desocketing is supposed to work now and what's the best way to desocket my Deviling card?

I have no experience trying a Deviling desocket myself, so someone else will have to weigh in on that. The iROwiki page has been updated to reflect our current options, though.

If Deviling is not eligible for Silit Pong, then you have to evaluate how important the gear is for you to attempt to save. If you don't care about the gear, you can use General Lubricant as it's an 80% chance to save the card even if you use the better High Rank Lubricant. High Rank Lubricant is only better if you want a shot at saving the gear and/or refine level of the gear (40% better for each). Otherwise, you can save some Silvervines on your attempt by using General Lubricant.

Deviling can only be decarded using high risk lube coz its not an MVP card. Already tried it. Same goes for GR

Certain MVPs also cant be decarded .e.g Amdarais, Fenrir

What about using a heroic desocketing book? I'm getting mixed messages when I tried to read up on doing that to decard my Deviling card, some say its useless others said GMs will compensate you if you still have one.

they will but don't expect too much from their compensation. i suggest you use high risk lube coz it's 80% chance to save card and 80% chance to save equipment. i did it with my GR carded trash armor.

The 20% chance to lose my Deviling isn't worth it to me, I'll just try to trade it for now. Do you know what the future plans are for desocketing?
