My VIP are ending soon, Don't know if I'm going to renew my VIP subscription b/c a random lag,dc's and DDOS stuff going on lately.

Everyday around this time, I'm unable to connect to patch server! :(
Why can't it just be fixed?

 

The server is being DDoS'd, making it hard to connect at all. I saw a post by Camp saying at one point they were getting hit every 5 minutes.

 

 

Anti-bot was not implemented this maintenance. They found that the anti-bot files they received made the client unstable so they did not implement it.

August 30 i dont know if this time they will implement the antibot thing, but i lost my hopes, even if they do and work, just 2 days before bots comeback and we need wait another 15~20 days for another one, in the other words we already lost the fight, i hope be wrong but.... anyway that is the next maintenance date.

It's simple, don't tell when you put the new antibot, do it a random day/time and bye bye bots

Why would it matter when you tell them or not? 

 

* If you tell them when it happens, they log off, new measure comes in, and they start working right away to crack it

 

* if you don't tell them, they get booted off from the game when new measures comes on, and they start working right away to crack it.

 

Without them knowing what the new measure is, when it happens is irrelevant.  The info they need only comes after the build gets implemented.

 

They're obviously going to working on cracking the anti bot measure the moment they can't log in that isn't due to a ban so when it happens doesn't matter.

 

Ultimately it still takes the same amount of time for them to be able to crack it and continue until the next Antibot measure or changes to the ban system in general.

I've been playing for three weeks, looking for the stability that an official server gives. But this is intolerable. What [Snip] and [Snip]  are doing is beyond of insanity. Probably [Snip]  has over 10000m with its thousands of bots.
The worst thing is the market stability is becoming worse and worse, silvervyne are over 350k now, and probably donation items will become more expensive... but ingame things like cards are becoming cheapest and cheapest in time. When I arrive here, for example, firelock soldier cards was 5m, now is 1m.
Leveling is also horrible... wolves and toy factory are full of bots.
I'm not an expert in antihack systems... but in games where real money matters, you must take care of situations like this.
A friend told me that in world of warcrafts, hackers stop developing bots because they lose more money in programming time than selling the final programm.

Maybe little changes, line a dynamic IP server, antishield programs or just an antibot npc in game... maybe you can't stop every hacker, but [Snip]  and [Snip]  will have hard time updating ther thousands of bots.

The thing is if this continue for one single month, venezuela will be nothing compared to this server economy.

I don't know... I'm just disappointed of this situation.

You're not wrong on the inolerance of how the server is going right now but are you really comparing how systems work with WoW?
Blizzards a huge company, and they have tons of staffs for their games.  The reason why hackers stop developing bots for WoW is simply because WoW's staffs are ten times more active than the bot developers.  By the time they get bots rolling out, Blizzard probably already deals with it so fast that, bot developers can never make money out of the game.  There's just too much staff on Blizzards end to compete that it's not worth their time.

 

iRO (or specifically Warp Portal) "cannot" take care of situations like this.

 

1.  They are governed by rights and rules, protocols that **must be followed** from kRO.  iRO cannot just do what they want

 

2.  Little Changes you mention will not stop anything.  Dynamic IP doesn't cause any problems for those bots, antishield programs were broken ages ago, and not really sure what an antibot npc is.  If you're referring to NPCs preventing them from going further by making them do CAPTHA or whatever prompt there is, there are ways around that also (CAPTHA in particular has already been broken in the past)

 

3.  The current solution iRO is running (which is getting an anti bot program from "kRO") works for maybe a day, before it gets cracked, and released.  While cracking the program takes only a day or 2 for these guys, the iRO build we get from kRO takes time to get, which is the problem right now.  iRO is completely right now dependent on kRO Staffs to provide them a build every time they need an update.  

 

What's the solution?  The only way I can think of iRO being full able to customize or tackle this problem is obviously figuring out if iRO has any sort of way to break this parent company issue that they must follow.  I figured with 15+ years since iRO opened, you'd think kRO could give some leniency on how iRO can run their own things without having to keep asking them on what's ok and what's not, but kRO having complete control of how iRO is run as well as having iRO have to wait until kRO approves really slows things down here.  By the time a iRO Build is cracked, and they ask kRO on for another solution, you're asking for a good week or few weeks before kRO goes, "ok give us some time to make another build"  But obviously by then, bots are fully returned (like the current 6k) that it doesn't really help at all. (where if iRO had full control of their Build without having to go through kRO, they could just do whatever local changes they want to try and combat this)

Yes, you are right in 99% about that. You can't stop brazilians who update constantly [Snip], but with little changes you can stop the bot spammers like [Snip]  and [Snip]  (and other two web pages who sell zeny for money) because they have to update every account they have ( 5000~6000 aprox) and i dont think they can doit in less than 2 days, because probably we are 1000~1500 players (human beings behind the player), 1000 bots managed by a player of this game, and the rest are bots from [Snip] ,etc.

Somehow i have the feelings that im back playing at emRo and cmRo....i quit both the server... its rmt and Bot issues...(mainly because of its Community...are -_- up)
