i'd say archer.. easily to level.. fast skill.. cheap equipment.. easily loot gears..

Merchant or Archer...don't play a sin or swordie unless you know how to play them. And stay away from mage/priest until you main is at least 100.

I'd say the best for noobs is Acolyte/Swordsman cos this are good for Party/Solo levelling. The basic MAGIC support char. Acolyte is the best cos it boosts party and heals can save on Zeny used to buy HP POTs !

you don't want to spend on Gems and Diamonds.?....don't play this game ... bad balanced between free and pay player
= if you are free player your atk would be around 1000~3000 but took a very long time to do
= if you are pay player your atk would be around 9000~ 10,000 
you are alway noob

Hunter. Basically only needs AGI, VIT & DEX.
