Kubi, I already told you that...

Ain-t-Nobody-Got-Time-Fo-Dat-sweet-brown

Let alone at that time, when I was struggling to level my first character and knew nothing about the game. Even so, this kind of discussion happened here in the forums, and I don't remember anyone bringing Kaahi to the table... probably because ain't nobody...

La'cryma should be enough for leveling, specially if you have ridiculous gear like Mob Scarf and Flattery Robe. If you can one-shot scarabas, you're good to go. :P Back in my day we had to decide if it was worth two-shotting scarabas with some survivability, or if it was worth one-shotting them with no resistance card and risk being beaten to a pulp. XD

I shared my main WL gears to my second WL

Spoiler

Celine Combo
Mob Scarf
Flattery Robe
La Cryma combo  (+12 La Cryma)
Magician Glove

my dmg on Low TI  this week

Heater  (Fire Lv.2)  = 20-23k+

Rybio (Neutral Lv.2) = 10-12k *

* If I use +15 Crimson Rod , other set  my JF  is  around   10k on Heater  ,  6k on Rybio   even it's have higher MATK than La Cryma combo

that's why I prefer La Cryma combo  because it's have a very huge dmg boost on every Water skills    nearly double dmg compare to +15 Crimson Rod , another set

I tested with Lv.1 SG  on Heater   La Cryma combo deal 4k dmg   /  +15 Crimson Rod  1.5k      so much huge difference

imagine if I still use Lv.10 SG with release  that's will be massive against fire mobs    :D

My skill build   I have  JF as main skill  wipe everything entire screen ,  SE as finishing skill  / killing for soul drain  ,  Drain Life  for save pots

I think next skill I'll get Recognized Spell  for stable dmg in Mid TI / Nogg   and then CR later when going Scarabas .....

running in Low TI is fun as hell   especially have magic string

Still it is and always has been a very viable option for solo no-cost WL lvling.

I doubt it was "nobody ain't time for that" and more of a "nobody thought of that" or "nobody wanna share this".

La'cryma Stick + Pororoca Shoes set basically one-handed empowered aqua staff for mage classes (Warlock & Sorc), which have mdef piercing perks on warlocks case, with open space for other armor and accessories and without opposite elemental resistance penalties :heh:

Yep I think so

La Cryma combo = one handed version of Empowered Aqua Staff  and  improved the Mora Aqua set weaknesses :D

Actually La'Cryma Combo is way better than Empowered Aqua Staff even on the dps/offensive side, since you get significant increase in Waterball damage, making it an OP skill against a lot of MVPs.

Now that I'm decked it's extremely easy to say that. I could probably level a linker in a day, maybe a couple of them. Back in the day it would take some precious time for someone who could play a couple hours a day max. Also, now that I'm decked it's completely unnecessary, so, why bother? Ain't nobody got time fo dat.

You don't need to max the Linker and can just leech it up with your (High) Mage.

Even with just Eden Gears it's not taking that long.

It slows the time before you hit WL down slightly, but speeds up WL leveling like crazy in exchange.

I'd say that's very worth it.

I had a few guildies who like you claimed they don't want to waste time on a Linker, I encouraged them to do it and they thanked me tons after because Kaahi made grinding their WL so much easier.

You're a special case in that your WL is maxed and you're decked out.

To anyone who isn't decked out, "wasting" 1 or 2 days - or heck even a week - playtime to make a class that shaves off 1 month or more from leveling their main character is among the best things you can do.

You can't say it's overall bad and takes too much time just because you cannot get anymore profit out of it, when worse geared people that are actually still leveling can get a lot out of it.

Took me two and a half hours to make a 99/50 Linker.

Don't forget it also gives you free Endure, which is really neat.

Up to you whether to spend the money and save your Tokens for enchanting or not though.

What the best choice is depends on how much zeny and time (and motivation for 16.1 daylies) you have available.

I think people just need to realize that everyone has a different lived experience and just because you can make a macbacontaco in 1 minute does not mean it takes 1 minute for everyone else.

If you think it's worth doing the quests and selling it, then it's worth it, but if you think so, you better do the quests yourself.

If you think it's worth doing something else because it gives more zeny/time, then it's even more worth it.

If you think it's too bothersome to either buy it or make it, then it's probably not worthy for you now, and you still have items to buy that will give you more return for your zeny.

You don't need flattery robes to do stuff with this class. For about 100m or less you can fully gear yourself in stuff which is just as good to use and cover all the core elements required.

You dont need Flattery Robe to be a good WL, although at end-game leveling stage(150+) it can be the difference of One shot or Two Shots against Big Bells. From my experience, the ability to one shot Big Bell, especially doing it without Mystic Amp, was important to get more TIs of Big Bell bounty per BMX3.

Before I could one shot them, even getting 1 TI was a challenge. After I could one shot with Mystic Amp, 1 TI was easy while 2 TIs still needed luck. Then I could one shot them without Mystic Amp, 2 TIs easily.

I would recommend buying Flattery Robe, since you ended up saving a significant number of BMX3s, which makes the cost of Flattery Robe less than it appears to be. For instance, if you use 15 less BMX3 going from 150-175 grinding in NCT, it saves you about 120-130m, then the cost of Flattery Robe is effectively 270-280m rather than 400m.

After Mob Scarf, what makes Flatteries appealing are the enchants. Non-enchanted ones are expensive because it's a bother to make them and because people like me buy them to enchant and resell for higher. :P

You can now get Happiness Wings, this more than makes any magic class able to one shot Big Bells. Flattery robes are most certainly not required for this feat.

Glorious Destruction Staff, try upgrading it to +14 during Mad Bunny Refine Event to get the max out of it.

Sure Flattery Robes are not required with the release of Happiness Wings, but can you prove that Happiness Wings are a better choice than Flattery Robe? Flattery Robe's MATK bonus is based on level, so you get full 150 MATK bonus at lv.140+, everyone in NCT will have that for sure. To get Happiness Wings bonus in full effect, you need it to be refined at +9 or if take a step back, at +8.

With enriched hammer gone, the cost of refining is very high and aint recommended. To buy from ragi.al market, +8 Happiness Wings cost 300m on average, while +9 Happiness Wings is 450m on average, even more expensive than an unrefined Flattery Robe at 400m. Also Happiness Wings are headgears so they replace OBMH, the damage increase is less than what you see from description.

If Happiness Wings at +7 are good enough to one shot Big Bell, then yes Id agree that it is a viable choice. Would be nice if someone can confirm this.

+7 means +35% damage stacking multiplicatively with everything else. It increases damage by a whole 35%, also reduces the damage you take, which helps surviving Big Bells bites.

Happy Flappy Angel Wings are good for all characters except Genetics and - right now - much cheaper than an unrefined Flattery Robe..

If you go for a Flattery Robe you will want it enchanted sooner or later, thus you'll have to upgrade it and to +10 to +13 to get the full benefits.

So getting the full benefit from Happy Flappy Angel Wings is not only easier and cheaper to get than a full benefit(*) Flattery Robe, but also profits a lot more characters.

Comparing a full effect HFAW to a non full effect Flattery is rather...

(*) Full benefit Flattery Robe meaning you get whatever 2 enchants that benefit you, at any level you happen to get.

ex: 2x Int 1 or Int 1 + Int 2

A single Int 3 (+ crap) would also count because it's similar to 2x Int 1 Rune.

I see, that makes sense. Ppls with Flattery Robe would want to enchant eventually, thats significant cost in the future.
