What is the best armor for gene? Other than 14% str or 14% long range attack, Abusive Robe doesn't do anything in term of ignoring monsters defends since CC already penetrate monsters armor according to many people. If that is truly a case why should I spend 2.5 - 3b for just 14% str or 14% long range attack. That is a lot of zeny to spend on the type of percentage which doesn't really do anything in my personal opinion. Also, your survivability significantly decrease while wearing it which is not worth it.   I'm so confuse, If Abusive Robe is the best choice, which one is better str or dex one? Should I stay with +10 Evil Dragon?

no such thing as best. every armor has its own purpose and situation.

 

flattery for extra matk for acid bomb

FDA for bosses

EDA for efficient farming and mob clearing

I understand what you said but i'm talking specifically about Abusive Robe for gene CC damage. Is it really worth the price 2.5- 3B for 14% str or 14% long range attack. Take that bypass capability completely out the equation, is that really worth it?

abusive robe has nothing to do with CC gene. you just get the beneft from the enchant.

flattery robe is better for gene, with dex enchant.

 

as of the price, it is worhy if you use it for other char as well that can fully utilize that armor. as for gene only, it is too pricy.

Amdarais carded +9FDA for killing bosses.
Glorious Armor for demi-human bosses.
Angeling carded +12Bako armor for tanking most bosses.
+10 EDA for general PVM farming.

Slotted elemental armors for bosses if you're broke.

the hard def is quite useful on tanking physical attack. it has also 10% cast delay to help spam CC & AB.

No need to tank them if you could kill them fast with a +9 FDA.

Bryn gives 10% physical attack damage. So if you get a Dex6 Flattery you get double the damage buff Bryn gives. Plus a card slot. So idk man, does that seem worth it?
