[Virusness]

I'm going to start saying that I wouldn't like to download the game again my connection is slow and take many hours.

I'm a very old player and really wanted to play this awesome game again, so I patched my game and when I click Game Start a windows opens....and then it dissapears...no error message, nothing

 

I've tried setting it with no sound, windowed, full screen, etc. and simply nothing happens.

I have windows 8.1, I played this game on this exactly pc years ago and it was working perfectly...maybe a patch along the way had compatibility problems with windows 8.1 idk...anyway, could someone help me? I really miss this game and want to play again

If the game is closing with no error message it might be that your anti virus software is blocking it. Please make sure you are running the game in administrator mode and that the Dragon Saga client is cleared from anti virus and firewall programs.

I know you won't be satisfied with my answer but I can only recommend that you download the pre-patched version from here if the solution CM Dragonlark told you does not help:

It's 16 files, 200 MB each. You need to download them all and unpack the first one, after unpacking you will have a fully patched version.

 

Sadly our patcher is a bit sensible when it comes to slower internet connections. We are working on making the patcher better but this still takes time. Sadly I currently can't offer any alternative solution to your problem.

Anyway, not gonna lie, I'm not entirely happy with downloading the game again but i'll give it a shot cause I really want to play...but won't it bug again after the next patch because of my slow connection? I'm willing to re-download again now but if it happens again....sad panda :C
