I've been using 2 on my stalker and having fun.  Flying Kick+Backstab and my badly geared stalker can kill a few of the weaker mvp at 96.  I also like the auto stun/mug for control clicking.

Precisely. There isn't much to review on this item, its clearly stated what it does. Probably OP was just one of those players who where hyped by this item, tried to use it but didnt know how to so he ended up being that face on his post.

I always thought a fun silly thing would be to add SP on hit gears, use 1 ring for the Mug chance, toss on some reflect gear, add some autocast to kill things off slightly slowly, use kaahi every 5 minutes or so and just watch the small amounts of zeny generate, hell you could use an antonio card to make it auto teleport as well. Literally an in game money bot :U

Since the skill deals 700% at max lvl, with the rings on it jumps to 5600%, wich in terms of damage beats most of 3rd class skills as well.

Here is what I can share with shadow rings:

 

*currently a level 93 rogue and my build so far is agi-str for auto-attack build [which i f***ing because it takes so long to kill high level mobs and was able to level a dancer-gypsy by 1 shotting everything with sling arrow and arrow vulcan so I thought of doing the same with my rogue*

 

1. Shadow ring boosts your backstab damage from "meh" to "wtf".

 

a.my backstab's damage w/o ring: 4Kish (cant 1 hit darkpriest obviously)

b.my backstab's damage w/ 1 ring: 13K (wtf right?)

c.my backstab's damage w/ 2 rings: 19K (lmao now they dont stand a chance)

 

2. the dilemma is backstab is a skill that requires proper positioning, you need to be at the back of your opponent to use it and here are some tips that I can share

 

a.people told me flying kick=insta back stab; this is for stalker because I dont have preserve yet, will give you an update once I hit stalker

b.using and clicking backstab several tiles away from an aggressive monster will let you cast backstab most of the time, not sure why but it does.

c.if you are already facing the monster and cant use backstab just click the tile on your enemy's back and while walking cast backstab.this will enable you to be on the same tile with the monster or at the back of the enemy if the monster is doing an attack animation.

 

3. This rings makes grinding alot easier.like mega duper super ultra easier. planning to go str-vit build when I hit stalker for an easy transition to an IB build when i hit SC

To spam BS: Just make your target walk diagonally then cross paths with it while casting BS or be in the same cell(via Flying Kick) after the target moved diagnoally.

 

Double clicking the "right click" button on your mouse will reset your view to default, from there you can easily identify which path is diagonal.

 

Just remember that your target should be the one to move diagonally, other skills that have knock back effect used on them will not work (Arrow Shower, Magnum Break etc.)

I just parked my dude with reflect gear in orc village and made free zeny. Slap on a pendant of harmony + loli ruri card or whatever else to proc healing (green cenere works too) and voila, you good m8.
