Hi guys, I'm planning to make a RK with Hundred Spear, but I am not sure if it's ranged or melee damage. I just want to get some feedback first before carding and enchanting my hunting spear. 

P.S. Is clashing spiral the same damage type as Hundred Spear?

Yea but the thing is I've been looking at some discussion about this topic and some say that it is ranged and others say that it is melee. What's more is that when i use the stat calculator it shows that it is ranged, which contradicts the description of the skill in the wiki. Here is without archer skeletons.

And since the stat calculator is not always accurate, i wanted to get feedback from actual players.

Not sure I've been away for a while but from what I last remember about 2 years ago it was ranged that's why you see gungnirs with expert archer enchants I think.

What you are highlighting is the range that you can use the skill, not the type of damage it deals.

to OP, Hundred Spears deals ranged damage, and you can increased it with ranged damage% gears and cards.

Ragnarok is probably the worst game to google for finding information about mechanics lol.

As an aside, you may still prefer to use conventional attack % cards instead of archer skellies as you can stack ranged damage mods from other sources (temp boots, EA FAW with menblatt card, malangdo enchants) and you will find that hydra/AK gives you more overall damage.

 

Also yes, clashing spiral benefits from these effects as well.

 

A good (but not perfect) way to test this is with pneuma -- if the skill misses in pneuma, then EA will help it.

That is one good use for EA Gungnirs, another would be on RG for Vanishing Point on agi up MVPs. I used to do this but now I'm too lazy and just use PPA and normal attacks (decent crit with Spear Quicken) for the last bit of damage.

Ah ok, but I think I will stick it the archer skelly. Since I am using the Ur's set I don't have the slot for Temp boots or FAW
