And the girl is most likely one of the voluntary community staff that pitched in for odas twitch stuff. Not all are on payroll. Lots of us would pitch in free of charge just to do something fun with RO community members.

1. Can't they do their maintenance during the night instead of doing this during the day ?
 

2. Does the 3 days VIP Package contain the +50exp base/job boost ?

+7 -> 8 (1 Blessing)

+8 -> 9(2 Blessing)

+9 -> 10(4 Blessing)

1. It will always be night in some of the time zones included in iro community

 

2. It covers all payed VIP packs but the restricted in game VIP will be excluded as usual I would assume.

  I never understood this either because this wastes the whole day for people wanting to play.  It's so much easier for people to just wake up and patch the game and start playing.  It wouldn't be so bad either if the maintenance didn't take so long. I mean seriously how many games have a 7 hour maintenance period. Seriously, because idk I don't play many games but other servers and other games by gravity has a minimum of 3 hours maint, or at least less than 5 hours. 10:30am to 5pm is just overkill but hey what do I know.

Were shipping logs, making back ups, restarting hardware, giving IT the chance to make sure nothing is physically going wrong, and otherwise manually doing things that more modern MMOs can do in a much more automated fashion.

 

Its important to keep in mind that Ragnarok Online was made before there was a WoW to copy so its a blessing in that it has a very unique feel to the game and game play. But the back end.. well everything was put together as best as people could think to do it.
