How to summon bio5 MVP?

Kill 10 of a Mini Boss version of a mob.

 

In order to summon a mini boss version, 100 of the regular version must be killed.

 

So yeah, 1010 kills to summon one.

Does that mean you have to kill 1000 of a singular mob or can you even it out by killing 100 of 10 different mobs?

 

Regardless, that's an incredibly excessive amount. It works fine now, but once the 'newness' of the dungeon wears off and people get the things they've set out to get, the amount of kills in a given day is going to dramatically decrease. Then you'll have to gather a party and do a majority of the killing over a several hour span just to have a chance at killing the MVP--and that's not necessarily bad--but it's an incredibly daunting and exhausting task to do every time. By comparison, Detardeurus' summoning ritual--which was created due to so many players leveling in AL3 during the start of Renewal and Detard being so incredibly strong that nobody could kill him at level ~125--is far more tame. It still requires some work to accomplish, but it isn't ridiculous as Bio5 would be time after time after time. I actually really like these alternate ways of fighting MVPs as it's more engaging than just waiting for x spawn time, then showing up, but a system like this needs to be implemented in a way that is enjoyable long-term.

 

I have no idea exactly how it functions on other servers, but according to this video's comment section, the person states that the MVP will actually respawn instantly upon death. No idea if any parameters exist for it to spawn or if it's just always out.

 

In my opinion, Bio5's summoning ritual should be altered so that the 10 mini bosses killed to summon it is a global task to fulfill (or maybe more than 10 if this is the case). Once that quota is met, the MVP would then spawn continuously every x hours until the next server restart, at which point the quota would have to be met again. If that cannot be done, maybe look into dramatically lowering the amount of mini bosses that need to be killed in the future once the population in Bio5 dwindles down. Or else very few people are even going to bother doing it.

 

At least a global task promotes server unity (to some degree) to work toward a common task if several groups are interested in killing the MVP. Even if nobody is interested, it provides a progressive option for the MVP to spawn, which in turn would make the dungeon more difficult/interesting as you would either: 1) avoid that area if you cannot handle it, or 2) formulate a party to eliminate it for safer hunting.

 

But again, that's just my opinion.

is it map wide quest, or player himself quest? and where to get the quest?

It would be cool if an MVP was spawned every time a mini boss died, with no cooldown whatsoever. That way only 100 kills would be required to spawn an MVP, which is much more realistic for a party to do in 1 day.

^To build on that, it'd be nice if the mini boss killed corresponded to the MVP that was summoned. Kind of like a little revenge story. You and your friends beat me up, so I'm getting the rest of my friends to come beat you up.

How does it function on kRO currently? Same as what we've got or is it the way they described it in the comments section still?

 

 

 

I agree with Ash, though. 1 of each is fair; it keeps true to the natural process of summoning it and isn't overly excessive.

 

Think of it like this: If you're capable of killing the MVP, then you're definitely capable of killing hundreds and hundreds of each regular mob. There's no meaningful content there, it's just mindless killing until you get to the required amount. The MVP is simply hidden behind a time-heavy access wall which few players will ever actively engage in climbing in its current state. Those who are actually interested in hunting the MVP and the challenges that it brings will quickly become frustrated having to climb this access wall every single time.

Yeah that's not bugged, that's just a Warlock not being stupid.

 

Also, it's using an older version of Bio5.

If the last 3 spawns were anything to go by, it has a fixed spawn location.

I think MVP always spawn at 12 o'clock

 

So once the 10th mob is killed, it automatically spawns at the 12 o'clock point.
