How low is the success rate of upgrading a +9KVM Weapon to +10 compared to regular +9weapons?

All lv4 weapons have the same success chance, there isnt gear specific rates. Just refer to the irowiki refinement page.

Meanwhile you will still able to fail many times even with 90% success rate
I did yesterday when refining my old midas. Continuously return to +3 four times. It was impressive.

the refine succes chance is not that... when say 90% it is ranging from 0%~90% etc etc. ....

I did actully, I always waited for at least 5 secs to press the enter. I failed to +10 with 130 ores and let my friend took the try. He managed to get it to 10 with 24 ores. hail RNGesus.

The trick is to have someone that doesnt play press the button for you.
Or use a Mastersmith.

Well, all my KVM's got to +10 with only 1 attempt, but i only have 1 KVM weapon, so i'm not sure if it counts
