I've read a few topics about sins builds and decided my best bet is going with DA katar. Since crits are too expensive (its my first char on server) and also not really good atm. Hybrid also never was my thing, and DD is kinda bad after renewal mechanics. 

 

I was thinking in this stats at 99 (naked):

 

Str 70+6

Int 4+4

Agi 90+10

Dex 61+9

Vit 38+2

Luk 1

 

Would you experts change anything? Btw, its my first sin, so I dont know much.

 

For weapon I was thinking in Katar [2] (probably +5 at first). What cards should I be thinking of? In order of priority please.

 

And for other equips? What should I be looking for? The poor/rich choices would be great, so I can get the poor ones and try to upgrade later one. I was thinking to start with a unslotted pantie/undershirt combo.

I would decrease a little dex, closing at 60 is already great, try to decrease a little dex and aci and for a little longer in vit, some mobs can give you Ikusando skills with such a low vit.

For weapons I much prefer slotted elementals with anti-element cards. So like a +5 Katar of Raging Blaze with 3 Kaho cards, 130 atk, fire property, and +60% damage vs earth element mobs.
It's not the best possible way to go, but it is close, and replacing 1-2 of the cards with size cards reduces the effectiveness vs 2 other sizes, so it's better overall.

Add either luck and wear some crit gears or get more AGI

 

I also question if you need 40vit for PvM. 20 or 30 total is probably enough just for Pot efficiency.

 

You don't sacrifice much at all to get 36%-40% crit, which is strictly better for damage output than your base 2% chance.

He's a DA katar, he doesn't need any luk or critic gear. A higher dex will help a much more than luk. 40 vit is enough, i think vit depends your gameplay, 40 is a nice mount.

False... DA Katar with some crit is better than DA Katar with no crit. Also, LUK adds far more than just crit. 

 

Double Kobold Brooches gives more dps than Double Mantis Brooches EVEN WHEN WEARING SNAKE HEAD. Why do you think this is? This even goes for Battlesmith auto attacks, who do not have double crit bonus (not counting mammo spamming)

 

For all intents and purposes, you can think of the Snake head as giving you a 50% chance to "crit" for 2.0x multi (more like 1.8x for Katar).

WIth 40% crit, the other 50% of your attacks will crit 40% of the time for 1.4x damage

You don't need 60 base dex on an Assassin on Re:start. Waste of points. ~50 is plenty. I might try to hit 60 after items and jlvl bonus.

Getting 40vit at the cost of higher damage is a waste for PvM. You kill slower and as a result get hit more often. SOME vit is good for pot efficiency that's really it.

This is a ridiculous statement. So because only half of your attacks can crit...crit is now not worth it? 

 

Will you deal more damage with 40% crit than without? Yes. With snake head and 40% crit, 50% of your attacks will deal 1.8x damage and 20% (40% of your non DA) of your overall attacks will deal 1.4x damage.

 

If you think +4 str (2x mantis vs 2x kobold) will give you more damage than 40% crit, I would advise you to take a stroll over to any calculator and test for yourself. Please don't forget that 33 luk also adds +11 atk (among other things) so you're not ONLY getting crit here. In case you're not aware. Going from 1 -> 30 luck costs less than going from 70 -> 80 str.

 

Any Katar assassin who isn't wearing Kobold or Zhu po long accessories are doing it wrong.

90 agi seems too much imo

I'd lower it and invest more in vit or str/luk (for atk porpouses)

ur dex seems high too, u can't kill mvps as a sin and u can hit  almost evrey normal monster with 40-50 base dex (maybe mimics and wanderes will be a problem but wathever)

 

but ur build is fine anyway

 

for a DA sin yoyo card >>>> kobold and mantis
