So earlier this morning...I go to COD an item to another player when I notice a strangely titled message.  This is what the message says...I will exclude all names of presumably actual players...

 

Hello~This is "[GM]Popcorn" we been observing you for a long time and we already know who you are...

2 says left for your account.

have a good day.

 

So, my question is...has anyone else in the community received something similar to this?  The few guildmates that were online at the time knew nothing about it.  I would like to assume that this is simply another prank attempt and not in fact legitimate.  Despite the fact that my in-game character is not included on the list contained within the message...nor can I recall seeing these player names...better safe than sorry.  I would not be very happy if I were "accidentally" banned for someone elses behavior.

I do have a screenshot...and I would have gladly sent this VIA a private message instead of posting publicly...however the forums and I are not seeing eye to eye this morning.  lol.

You should contact the gm team via the support site. Doesn't sound legit does it.

Please write a ticket to the GM team at support.warpportal.com and include the sender name(s).

Yea I've never seen any mail from a fake-GM claiming these were your characters.

 

Since you have screenshot(s) a support ticket would be the best choice. This could potentially be bad as it might attempt to get something out of you using these "names" as leverage in some way.
