'Looking For A Mate'
None of the mobs give proofs, was working yesterday though.

'In Need of Food' still isn't working either.
-Hooded/Crowned Asper's don't give proofs

'Slight of Big Hand'
-Can't find the 'Fiery Snappers' anywhere, just their leaders.

Wayfinder Skill
The one char I have this on, can't travel normally through 'The Golden Ring'.
When I move south on the 1st map, towards the 2ndmap, I Always end up in Wasteland Ruins Path.


Too bad since I handed in 'In Need of Repairs' and 'In Need of Water'.
I can't travel beyond the Golden Ring on my main anymore now.

Add "Little Information is a Dangerous Thing" to that list. No dialogue for quest. Still waiting for this to be fixed.

I can confirm that certain monsters are not providing proofs for certain quests, this includes Looking For A Mate and In Need of Food. This is being worked on and will be corrected for the next patch.

The purpose of the Wayfinder Skill is to make it easier to traverse beyond the Golden Ring in order to get to Wasteland Ruins Path. Once you obtain the skill, it will change where some of the gates marked on the minimap as '?' will take you.

Many of the Orlo monsters now use a different method of spawning which requires you to kill monsters of similar types in the area in order to get different monsters to spawn.

I can also confirm that the quest line Little Information is a Dangerous Thing is working correctly for both Arua and Hebarn fates, it is possible that you have inadvertently chosen a different option which will end the quest with a different outcome.

I did not realize that the quest proofs were spotty for Looking for a Mate quest, since some of my party members were able to get proofs just fine while I struggled for quite awhile without getting any. Thinking that the problem was on my end, i deleted the quest from my quest log to start over. I cannot obtain the quest again now. Is there a way for me to re-obtain the quest or is it lost?

You can get the quest again by speaking to Hafis. If not, restart ROSE so that he displays the dialogue option again.

I ran around and I got another quest from another NPC that gave me the Scavenger quest where you drop all the meats and stuff after talking to Hafis.
Does that one only show up after the Check Mate quest has been completed? I finished that one and tried to get the other quest again, but there's no quest option.

Also, when you have both "Looking for a Mate" and "News from Tondro(2)" you are able to gather the vials from Mastyx.

Quest rewards text for "News from Tondro(2)" are also not shown in the chat section (purple text), only when you also get a vial for the "Looking for a Mate" quest. The reward is correctly shown in the quest window.

"Stolen Goods(3)" is blocked (not available in the dialog from Bighand) when you still have the "In Need of Food" quest.

How odd. I had both Looking for a Mate and News from Tondro (2) concurrently prior to the bug-and-deletion, but I got proofs for Tondro first and completed that one totally before getting any proofs Looking for a Mate (of which none were the Mastyx). I have heard of people completing proofs for these quests concurrently, which was weird since every other quest prior to these you could only do one at a time.


I've logged and relogged multiple times, but Hafis is being stingy with his questing privileges. I have some quests from Eldeon in my quest log still. Maybe I'll completely clear my list out later and see if that has any effect on the questing-ness. Or wait for next patch, whichever comes first. =)

i had done the "In Need of a mate Quest" with the hooded Venomous Asper thingys, are you killing then? or catching them with the nets that are provided?

you woun't get the proofs if you dont use a net :x
